Day 16 of Best of 1834 BKLYN1834's 229W43 Residency We had the pleasure of getting a month long residency in the historic 229W43 (formerly the New York Times building). We held events, photoshoots, live recording sessions, filming, dance battles, and a concert in the raw space of 229W43’s top floor. Check out all of the events here.

Day 2 of Best of 1834 Little Simz: Behind The E.D.G.E. Interview/Short Film piece about Little Simz’ 1st headlining show in New York City. It was put on during BKLYN1834’s 229W43 residency, and was the most intense show we had put on. Additionally, she stayed with us at The Club Casa where we interviewed her and filmed her around the Brooklyn neighborhood. Check out the PHOTOS here.

PHOTOSET: Our event with Little Simz for her EP release E.D.G.E. at 229w43 The house was packed for UK artist Little Simz last week. Upon releasing her EP “E.D.G.E.” she came to New York City with a lot of attention on her. We had worked with Simz in the past during SXSW, and we were really blown away. We wanted to have her perform in an event space that was raw, intimate, and highlighted her as a performer. We also included Brooklyn artists T'Nah APEX and Chelsea Reject, and the three women ripped the roof off of 229w43. Look for our interview with Little Simz tomorrow. photos by aaron and shamz
