This past year of 2022 has also just gone by. 

How many seasons, how many decisions did I need for me to become more honest? Very rational... ...expectations were so off the mark, they mock me from afar. What kind of human I've become... Now, as I turn 30, the only promise I managed to keep, just barely at that, was releasing an album... 

The miserable repetition of countless meetings and separations. What remains of me once it has all washed away... ...inadequacy, a sense of inferiority, a sense of defeat, shortcomings..Some say that it is not inadequacy but how you deal with inadequacy that is the most important. I don't know whether lack of experience is to blame but I feel like I improved so little, by barely anything. 

Hey now. Happy things and sad things are both the same thing. How much of an unwavering spirit would you need to be able to live like that? Seeing things break and fall from the tips of my toes, what kind of an expression did I make this year... Of course, as always, tonight is also just a ceaseless exercise in trying to befriend loneliness. Didn't I wish for that? Actually. For this moment. Desperately. 

I just got a call from Heeyeong hyung* and we spoke for about 40 minutes. Right next to me, this much... ... so fortunate. As expected, when you lose something, you gain something else.... ...loneliness and emptiness....
