Okay this was much later than I intended to post but I wanted to watch the episode to jog my memory of the show cus I started writing my notes like 30hrs after and wanted them to be a bit better. But I didn't get any time travelling rn.

Pre-show:

So as usual, Greg and Alex do a warmup. This episode it was a song about kebabs in the style of prog-rock. Greg mimed a guitar and did the base. Alex wanted to end it after the first verse but Greg was like, “no continue, now the chorus”. Why kebabs? Greg introduced Alex as looking like the shrivel cuts of a kebab.

The show:

There was a good bit of debate of how many men could fit in Amy's “ten man raft”.

And much longer debate / argument of who should win between Armando and Joel's prize tasks

Armando’s ham kept falling off his leg during the first vt and he eventually took it off, but he wanted to wear it all the way through lol

A good bit of discussion of how nice that bus stop looked with the mosaic and the books!!

Amy kept trying to call her friend Chris during the break and Alex was like we need to get on. Eventually he did get back and it's what you saw during the episode. But I remember the convo being much longer and Greg bringing up how the phone call was something new as well and a first.

Lot's of confusion around Kumail’s predictions task that mostly got cut. Lots of why he was upside down, why he was speaking backwards and debating whether Kumail really needed to do this or that to convey “making time go backwards”.

I written down “eternals flopping joke”. I can't remember exactly how it went but I think Joel said it.

I KNEW we weren't going to get it all as it went on SO long and even went into the break, but SPICE RACK. Manifesting it makes the outtakes 🙏

But yeah the whole convo followed Greg commenting on how Joel said they were searching for somewhere to have sex and then brought up how Joel opened the tiny spice rack. And then Joel made a joke about how there would be cumin. That Greg kept getting fixed on the cum and found it so funny. He brought it up a couple times again and then Joel was bouncing off other spice related puns with him. I can't remember the exact puns though. Mark Olver (warmup guy) did make a joke about there being not enough thyme for this as break was pushed.

Kumail did explain a bit more about the "ending of a friendship" and said it lead to a divorce.

The live task went on longer than what was shown. And it was commented that there was strong regret for it being “first to score 5”. The task had to be read out and explained a few times as well.

I was on a row with a few other Welshmen, and when it was Joanna vs Kumail one of them said “come on Wales” but yeah I didn't think it would get picked up as we were far away.

I have “sospan fach” written in my notes and I do vaguely remember it being sung…

Extras:

A lot of Americans in the audience. There was a couple on their honeymoon in the boxes. A guy was there on holiday for 4 days and Mark could not get why lol

I was sat next to Greg's babysitter, and during the last break Greg had a chat with him from the stage. He was actually the boyfriend of the girl who was hired to babysit Greg and it was joked that they never did any babysitting and were off doing couple things.
