It was nice to have gotten a call from my husband. He is at the airport waiting to be called for his flight. It was nice to see him in video chat. I was out this morning, mind you I haven’t slept yet since 2:00 in the morning when his alarm went off. I went to the gym, then the grocery store to get some raw hamburgers, cheese slices, buns and chips for National Hamburger Day.
This is going to be a long 20 days. Last year it took 4 days to feel the sadness, but this year I felt it before he left to go overseas. I keep thinking the only way that I could feel better is to go to the beach during the Unofficial start to Summer, but I don’t know how that would work as I don’t want to drive 2 hours each way and I don’t do well to drive after it gets dark and to stay there for a day or so will be expensive.
Since it is National Hamburger Day, I wish to make some for me and our daughter with a side and cool beverage. Well that’s the goal. I wish to make the best out of these days.

I am feeling a bit sad. My husband went off to visit his family overseas. It started to hit me yesterday while he was at work. He will be away for 2 weeks and 6 days. While it may seem short to most, for me it’s a really long time. In the meantime I hope to keep busy with the house such as organizing, cleaning, going through important paperwork and whatever else, not to mention outside and spending time with our daughter doing stuff we would normally not be doing otherwise. I started this blog to help me get through the next 20 days (almost 3 weeks). 19 days left until he come back home. This will be a very long time away from seeing and being with him.
The countdown begins. 20 days until we go to the beach. And I'm so beyond fucking ready for it. 🏖️😎
