So… I guess I never really took the phrase "life comes at you fast" seriously until within the past year or so. On top of grad school kicking my ass and living on my own being... a lot harder than I expected, a minor motorcycle accident left me with chronic pain and loss of function in my right foot/ankle. Doctors are hoping it's something that can be fixed with a simple surgery but I'm getting slow-walked by both the clinic and insurance so, in the meantime, it's been a bit of an adjustment. On the plus side, I've had a ton of support from friends, relatives and my wonderful partner while learning to deal with this, so I'm managing. Also, at least in my opinion, Jay looks pretty good with a cane.
