This image holds a lot of personal lore, captured back in August 2010 at a going-away party for my cosplay mentor before she embarked on her travels. We started with a beach pre-game, and due to some heavy personal stuff I was dealing with at the time, I got completely smashed. Hence, this lovely photo of me being completely drunk.

I'm not proud of the state I was in, but I am eternally grateful to the friends who looked after me that night, and to my mentor for letting me crash on her floor.

She was a monumental figure in my life. It was thanks to her that I became MG—the Magical Guy—the nickname she coined for me. Without her influence, MG wouldn't exist, period.
