I dunno! This is complicated and hard to read. Had Diego and Klaus had a season of sweet interactions this wouldn't have phased me at all. As is, it still doesn't BOTHER me, I can totally see it as Sibling Writing and nothing more, but I can also see it as setting up for Klaus Freaking next season. We will have to see. But as-is, Diego doesn't make a singular move to actually leave Klaus. Klaus doesn't even hear it. It doesn't bother me.

Imagine how heartbroken Klaus must have been, hearing Diego say that Ben should stay longer in his body 💔

Yeah I don't know how much he remembers but I also don't think that MATTERS because it's clear that, in the moment, it absolutely fucked him up. Wanting Ben over Klaus, or Klaus being a second choice, or Klaus being sidelined, is a pattern of Klaus's life and it will be SO INTERESTING to see this explored. I am so so so excited.
