16x02 American Disgrace
Ok, I’m back with my side project. This is the last episode of the mustache my dear pornstache, you will be missed.
I think this was a pretty solid episode, with a nice twist I never imagined the ending.
Barba was perfect. I love that man so much.
Now, onto Carisi. In this episode, he showed everyone that he has great instincts and that he’s not what everybody thought he was.
That exchange he has with Fin about the pizza, where Fin thought Carisi was just a stereotype, and Carisi demonstrates he’s more than that: “I’m full of surprises.”
Also, when Liv asked him why he joined SVU, everyone was expecting a dumb answer, and he gave an extremely deep and moving explanation that no one expected it left them speechless:
“I worked Homicide, a couple years. It’s the women who get you. I mean, they’re dead, but their hair’s clean, they’re nicely dressed, they’re made up. And that means their husbands or their boyfriends did it. It’s like they knew. They knew it was coming. They don’t even look surprised.”
In terms of fashion, it was another fugly tie fest, but he looked pretty with his long hair, so I’ll let it slide. It’s the last episode with bad fashion sense, so everything is good.
