With all the chaos lately, the milestone arrived without me even noticing. Well, I can't complain, no. I was about to let time pass and process what I drank at the party, but while rummaging around the house, I found enough for another drink on my own and a toast to all of you in the wee hours.

The photo? It's a pretty nice way to represent me: young (still), attractive (you know what I mean), and she looks very sophisticated, sexy, meticulously crafted, but also alone in what seems like a less-than-ideal neighborhood and a very old apartment that hasn't been renovated in ages. But at least the rent is relatively low, and it's already hard enough to afford to live alone. It's an almost dystopian IRL María if you look at it that way, but I'm getting by and going through a peaceful transition period, enjoying my hobbies, which involve a lot of reading and being very entertained by posting, commenting on photos, and sometimes choosing excerpts from my books, making summaries, and finally, these converge into mini-articles for my series of posts. I write them, I write them daily, and some people read them—what more could I ask for? Their blogs provide me with PDF books I couldn't afford otherwise and niche and experimental music I'd never have encountered in my own circles. I dedicate a lot of time to this, but I receive so much in return. Thank you for being here, and this is for you all, I truly raise a glass!
La foto? muy simpática para representarme: joven (aún), apreciable (ya entienden) y se la ve muy sofisticada a ella, sexy buscando al detalle serlo, pero también sola en lo que parece barrio mejorable y un piso muy envejecido y sin obras hace mil, pero al menos el alquiler es relativamente bajo y ya mucho me cuesta pagarme vivir sola. Какой телевизор вам подойдет? 4K, 8K или лучше замахнуться на 16K, чтобы получить «супер-мега-сверхчеткое» изображение? Как показало новое исследование ученых из Кембриджа, большинству людей не нужен даже 4K телевизор.
Исследователи решили узнать, сколько пикселей реально способен различить человеческий глаз. Для этого они использовали подвижный 4K-монитор, который можно было приближать или отдалять от зрителя. Оказалось, что глаз видит больше деталей, чем считалось раньше, но при больших диагоналях телевизоров дополнительные пиксели уже не заметны.
Так исследователи определили понятие «сетчаточного разрешения» – предела, после которого увеличение числа пикселей больше не влияет на качество картинки. Этот предел зависит от размера экрана, освещения комнаты и расстояния до телевизора.
Главный вывод: если вы сидите примерно в 2,5 метра от телевизора диагональю 44 дюйма, то разрешения 2QHD вам будет вполне достаточно. Модели 4K или 8K такой же диагонали просто добавляют лишние пиксели, которые глаз уже не способен различить.
Ученые также создали онлайн-калькулятор, который помогает рассчитать оптимальное разрешение и размер экрана в зависимости от расстояния до него. Они надеются, что результаты исследования помогут производителям создавать оптимальные телевизоры, а не только увеличивать разрешение ради маркетинга.
И, возможно, теперь стало понятно, почему рынок 8K-телевизоров почти не растет: даже Sony приостановила выпуск новых моделей.
