Mind Your Language gets the front cover of Look-In, week ending 14 October 1978. A very funny show but no channel would repeat it now. I'm assuming this is another Arnaldo Putzu cover and it depicts from left to right:

Tommy Godfrey (1916-1984) as Sidney, the school caretaker.

Zara Nutley (1924-2016) as Miss Courtney, the school principal.

Barry Evans (1943-1997) as English teacher Jeremy Brown. In later years he had trouble getting acting roles and turned to working as a taxi driver. An open verdict was returned in his death after police had called to his house and found his body in 1997. A good comic actor but one with a very sad ending.

Françoise Pascal as French student Danielle Favre.

Anna Bergman as Swedish student Ingrid Svenson.

A double-barrelled blast of sci-fi comic hyper-power!

A 1978 ad for 2000AD and Starlord prog 86, dated 14 October 1978. Cover by Dave Gibbons.

This was the first merged issue of the two titles. I can remember this issue well. A great period in comics. According to an interview in the book 'Thrill Power Overload' by David Bishop sales on both titles were said to be falling with Starlord's figures being slightly higher. A decision was made to merge them but with 2000AD being the host title.

'The General Dies at Dawn'. Written by Gerry Finley-Day.

It was an 11 part strip, counting down the hours before dawn. John Cooper provided the art. He had just finished working on Dredger and would move on to Johnny Red after this strip finished.
