the pH reading is mixed. my pH meter is saying 8.0 and the API pH test looks like 7.0. so idk.
today i did about a 20% water change on the 14g.
there's some healthy blue velvet activity still
i dosed it w 5mL API leaf zone when the readings were all 0ppm for ammonia, nitrite, & nitrate
this tank houses a rabbit snail, a nerite snail, an amano shrimp, about 8 blue velvet neocaridina shrimp, one ember tetra, and 4 chili rasbora. the plants include anubias nana, anubias nana petite, a couple of java ferns, hornwort, java moss, duckweed, frogbit, and salvinia minima. i planted a lot of that somewhat recently to combat the algae issue it's had - which i think is getting under control. this is the experiment tank in the house & it's what got me hooked to fishkeeping 🤩
