The scene begins with Luke that visits Phil, again. They make fun of each other, Phil says that he has a problem with Roxy, he is too obsessed. Luke replies that he needs someone to push him, then... he adds "“So, in that spirit.” he turns on the left side, with a weird expression. And then we discover that behind the wall there is Penelope. She whispers “Oh… Now?”. The camera comes back to Luke and Phil. He says again, with louder voice: “And in that spirit”. She finally understands it's her moment to come, and says “Now, ok.”. We can hear Luke laughing, as he usually does when it's about Pen.

The reason why Luke brought with him Garcia, is revealed: she takes a little puppy. This scene is just really intense and sweet, not only for garvez content. It's maybe the only time when Luke is focusing not on Pen, but on something/someone else. It doesn't last long. You can see how happy is Penelope to be there. She is the happiness in person. Luke caresses the puppy, and explains to Phil that the doggie needs a lot of love and walk. They seems a couple, in this moment. So comfortable with each other (but we had a glimpse of that in the previouse ep, when we found out Luke knows Sergio).

Penelope gives the puppy to Phil, saying that his name is Lou. Phil is just so fucking happy. He melts with him between his arms. Penelope steps back and, for who knows why, she ends so close to Luke, hugged, we can say, because his right hand is on her side, even if the image is not so clear. What is evident is that they both enjoy the moment. Then, for the same reason, Luke moves his hand on her shoulder. Meanwhile Lou is covering Phil with kisses. Penelope caresses Lou, then Luke hugs Phil, after this latter thanked him.

What we can guess, but without hard evidences, is that seeing Luke in a such personal, emotionally strong moment, couldn't leave indifferent Penelope, who is a sensitive person. At this point of their relationship, the Newbie isn't just the Newbie. He is a sort-of-friend, that she likes to tease, sometimes. Second consideration is that Luke talks with Matt about his friend and that he doesn't know how to help him, but then, choses Pen to go with him. Just because she loves animals and is super sweet and perfect for the moment? Or he wants to kill two birds with one stone?
