One may be wondering why Attina had invited her littlest sister to ice cream on a freezing autumn day. 

That ‘one’ was probably Ariel.

You see, the ice cream shoppe was their spot. It was where they went whenever Ariel was feeling down. (And, after Attina’s trial--fourteen year old Ariel had spent her allowance on a trip, just the two of them, in a gesture so sweet, Attina had spent the first ten minutes blubbering into her ice cream cup instead of eating anything.) 

If the rest of her talks with her sisters were anything to go by--she would probably be blubbering again by some point during this whole...ordeal. 

Not that it was an ordeal.

It was fine!

Attina had asked Ariel to meet her after school at the ice cream shoppe. When she’d gotten there, Attina had brushed off any questioning glances by jabbering about the menu, trying about twenty different flavors (what! she couldn’t decide! her normal orange sorbet didn’t feel like it was going to hit the spot really) before deciding on peanut butter cup (so not what she usually went with). 

They finally sat at one of the seats that looked out over Atlantis Lake in the distance. Attina smiled at Ariel with a little wrinkle in her nose.

“Sooooo--how was school, guppy?” Attina asked, trying not to be weird. (She was probably being weird.) She took an overzealous bite of her ice cream. 

Mendez started to asociate the bold ideas with shaun, but in that episode both Jarad and Clair come up with inovative solutions....because all the resients feel comfortable bring him wild ideas after shaun joined the team
