MP - 1 - 1 Tutorial (LO3)
This morning, feeling a bit under the weather, I opted for an online tutorial session. I took the opportunity to showcase my progress to Dot, starting with a presentation highlighting key aspects of my journey.
This week, my primary focus was on refining my identity, a facet I had somewhat neglected amidst my major project endeavors. I began the tutorial by elucidating the rationale behind my logo design, crafted from blocks. As a UX designer accustomed to crafting digital assets from shapes, I opted for a lowercase 't,' symbolizing continuous reiterations to form a cohesive design. Embedded within the logo are subtle chatbox elements, illustrating my role in shaping digital experiences.
Transitioning to my portfolio, I curated a selection of my top three or most recent works, with the potential inclusion of my FMP given sufficient time.
One of my main challenges centered around integrating 3D elements into my brand, an area I am currently exploring. Hence, I showcased images from Swell, an interactive agency's web portfolio, as a source of inspiration.
In the final segment, I introduced Dot to a 3D game prototype I've been studying for my gameplay concept. After considering options like Minimania and Sims, I found Minimania's fixed camera interface more conducive to my idea, allowing me to focus on efficiency within my project's time constraints.
Dot's feedback
She suggested merging the softness of my final logo with the chatbox elements for added impact. Regarding the website, she recommended adopting a modern branding approach and enhancing depth in design elements rather than replicating 3D assets akin to Swell's blackspace concept. Lastly, she affirmed the strength of my major project interface, reassuring me that a character creation component was unnecessary.
He keeps saying he'd go through everything again just to know me but last night with so much softness in his eyes and voice as he said it, I got all choked up and speechless. Knowing what he's gone through, what could I possibly say?? He had me choked up at multiple points with what he told me. In the past, it's been the reverse.
He will show me pictures he took of me that are the worst I've ever looked in any photo ever and be like "Look how beautiful you are!! 😍 Can I post it??"
Further proof that yeah, he really is in love with me lmao.
Yesterday was wonderful but I was so exhausted that I'm having trouble remembering it. I did just lay there half-asleep much of the time. We watched the ball drop 🌟

My mom walked in at the worst possible moment and we scrambled so fast to look natural. He launched to the other side of the couch, I threw him a blanket, he greeted her like normal but I was laughing uncontrollably.
"How are you guys doing? Was the movie good?"
Then my sibling walked in at the second-worst moment. It was like playing a jumpscare videogame.
😭
MY FAMILY SAW THE MASSIVE HICKEYS I LEFT ON HIS NECK, I THOUGHT I WAS GONNA DIE OF EMBARRASSMENT. At the time I thought "Yeah I won't care that my family will see this. I am a mature and confident adult."
