hello! idk if this has been asked yet but may I request a DDS classification for eldritch deities?
001.944 for monsters and related phenomena
111.1 for the metaphysics of existence
130 - 139 for parapsychology and the occult (135 for dreams, 132.1 for insanity)
299 for miscellaneous religions
What's the most expansive version of pi that has an assignee Dewey Decimal classification? I would certainly expect 003.14 to have one, but what about further digits? (Also for clemency, where is pi itself classified?)
003.14 is unfortunately unassigned, but it falls under 003.1 which is for computer system identifications
031 is for encyclopedias and factbooks
314.15 is for general statistics of the island of Ireland (looks like that's the most digits available)
the mathematical concept of pi would fall under 516 for geometry (516.152 for circles)
Where would I find information about other methods of library organization?
025.43
general classification systems
i'm a little tempted to make a blog like yours but with the loc classification system instead, mostly because that's what my college library uses and i find it fun to search through all the different categories for what i'm looking for
You should absolutely do that! I don't know anything about the library of congress system, so it would be super informative
(025.433 by the way)

how many library classification systems are there?
The Dewey Decimal Classification system sorts five; itself (025.431), Universal Decimal Classification (025.432) used abroad, Library of Congress Classification (025.433) used by the US government, the Bliss Bibliographic Classification (025.434) used in Britain, and Colon Classification (025.435) used in India.
