As summer began to segue melodiously into fall, only the smallest shards of afternoon light managed to trickle through the outdoor plants and umbrella that served as shade for their table. It was quaint and girlish, and it certainly wasn’t the sort of locale one would expect to find the son of Indra, but he had agreed to spend some time relaxing upon consult. A fine hero wouldn’t go back on his word so easily.
Arjuna supposed he could afford indulge a little, anyway. That was the purpose of all this. A bit of quiet, a patch of peace over a gash of of frustration and discomfort, some time well-spent with the good Doctor who’d always paid close attention to their physical and mental status as Servants.
What was unexpected of their little play-date; however, was how amazingly sugary the afternoon would actually be. Nothing they’d ordered for him had been something he’d tasted before -- and the prince seemed almost childish in the way his face lit-up at the smallest scoop of caramel pudding and at the taste of lemon crepe that complimented his tea.
“This is a bit excessive.. but it’s nice to treat yourself at times, I suppose. Do you come here often.. ? There’s... a rather interesting theme here.” He asked, ever the polite one.
