Currently reading: Oh gosh… I wish I could answer this properly. Do textbooks count? 😭 I did read Dracula and Carmilla for my seminar though, so yay vampires 😂 Technically, I’m still reading Saphirblau by Kerstin Gier… even though I haven’t picked it up in months 😭

Last series: I’m currently rewatching Outlander after binge-watching Stranger Things (we do not talk about season 5), and Criminal Minds yet again 😂

Last film: Hmm… the last movie I watched was a German horror movie from 2012 that was shown in cinema again! I’ll be watching Night of the Living Dead in cinema soon, and I’m very excited. I love being a nerd, because you find other nerds who bring old classics back to the big screen. Next up is The Thing, and I’m SO excited!

Last song: Either Dark to Light or On Fire by Louis Tomlinson. I’m obsessed with his new album! Still waiting for my signed record though 😭

Coffee or tea: I am a complete hater of any kind of coffee. I’m so sorry. I love tea though, especially rooibos tea. And black tea in the morning!

I’m sorry, I don’t know if you wanted a little fic or just my ramblings, but welp, you’re getting my ramblings because this could go either way!

Okay so imagine this: the betrayal happens right after In-ho shoots Jung-bae. He turns around, and there’s the barrel of The Officer’s gun aimed right at him.

From here, we'd have a few directions:

The Officer could dispose of both In-ho and Gi-hun immediately, convinced they’re both liabilities

Or he could imprison them, claiming the VIPs should decide their fate, make it political, make it personal

Or (my favorite brand of cruelty) he throws them back into the Game. Let’s see how the Front Man does when he’s just another number again 👀

That would mean In-ho has to keep pretending, keep playing the role he invested, keep playing Young-il, and Gi-hun would be right there to watch it.

But what if it happens after Gi-hun is sent back into the Games instead? The Officer would have hated that decision. Maybe he sees it as proof that the Front Man has completely lost it, that he doesn’t deserve to lead. So he turns on him.

It could be quiet, a clean execution, or a full fight, drawn out and vicious. Either way, In-ho loses. Maybe he’s tortured. Maybe handed to the VIPs.

Or maybe The Officer exposes him to the remaining players. "You want a real villain? There he is."

And imagine Gi-hun’s face when he realizes who In-ho really is. Would he go for the kill instantly, remembering Jung-bae and everything that happened? Probably. He’d see red. The hatred, the grief, all of it snapping loose.

Would In-ho even fight back, or would he just accept it? After all, he spent days among the players, with Gi-hun reminding him what humanity looks like. Maybe for once, he wouldn’t resist.

My shipper heart, of course, says no. Gi-hun hesitates, protects him, they survive, and everything is fine 😭

But realism? Yeah, they’re both doomed.

ufff that's a heavy one... honestly, i just don’t think Jun-ho could ever do it. Not for a second! His whole arc is finding In-ho, asking why, trying to get him back. Killing him would go against everything that makes him who he is. He’d never be the one to pull the trigger. Never.

In-ho basically raised him, donated his kidney, paid their debts, protected him like a father. That kind of love doesn’t just go away... it defines Jun-ho... the way he sees justice, family, everything

And during the island storyline, every reaction he has (the hesitation, the disbelief, the grief) it’s always about saving his brother, not hurting him. Even after the betrayal, he wants In-ho to face what he’s done, not die for it. He’s the detective who exposes the truth, not the executioner...

If an AU ever had him kill In-ho, it’d have to be either accidental (like a gun going off while they’re grappling or In-ho is shoved into the path of the bullet from someone else), the 'hug' being this awful moment of trying to stop him, not end him

Or mercy-driven, where In-ho’s already dying and Jun-ho does it out of love 😭

✅️ teenage Jun-ho brings his boyfriend (the Recruiter) to meet his brother—who is totally against their relationship! ("You're not worthy of my brother's heart!")

Surprise! 🎉 I’m alive! Just currently drowning in uni stuff and work and everything else. I hate it.

I also suffered from a terrible case of ✨️Akute Lustlosigkeit✨️ (literal translation: 'acute lack of desire/motivation'), otherwise known as the silly little 'I don’t even want to think about Squid Game or read or write or do anything' phase. And I think studying fried my last functioning brain cell... But hey – I passed the exam!! 🎉

Anyway, I just wanted to let you know that I’m alive and (kinda) well, and that I am working through all the requests! I even managed to shrink the mountain of asks by drafting a bunch of replies. So technically progress is being made 👀🙃 They’re all sitting in my drafts like captured hostages until I finish them 😂 But I’m getting things done!!

Also... when exactly did we all start calling In-ho’s wife Yuna?? When did that collective decision happen?? Because suddenly she’s Yuna everywhere and I’m just standing here like ?? 😭😭😭

Ah shit. It’s past midnight and I have to get up at 5am to catch the train at 6 to get to uni in time for my 8am seminar. Lovely. Truly thriving. Love that for me 💀

But uhm... I accidentally started a Detroit: Become Human fic and now I'm falling in love with the game all over again 🥺

Should I start rambling about DBH here too? I might start sharing WIPs for that fandom, BUT I am NOT abandoning Squid Game. I still have a mountain of WIPs and requests from you guys and I will keep working on them, I swear!
