While they did have a couple okay bops (and no shade to the members, I have nothing against them personally), Wanna One was an incredibly overrated, overhyped, and utterly generic group with no musical or conceptual identity of their own aside from “that one group that CJ E&M put together on a survival show and promoted incessantly for 2 years straight while groups that had much better concepts and songs were completely overlooked and ignored.” I get the appeal of a survival show and picking your favorite contestants to be in the group and the popularity boost for the members, etc, but the company utterly failed to actually do anything interesting with the group after it was made, in my humble opinion.
I don't dislike him because he is multitalented and does bring a lot to Wanna One but I just can't fall for all that aegyo Jihoon keeps pushing out. That "goo goo gaga" baby thing he does especially makes me cringe. The wink and Jeojiang thing was cute the first few times but now all the cute stuff just seems so forced. Hopefully he dials it back a bit with the ageyo because from the looks of it, his real personality actually more manly and playful rather than just a cute pretty boy
I have grown so cold over wanna one. I followed pd101 and fell for noh taehyun and ha sungwoon during the show so for sungwoons sake i'm keeping up with wanna one, but the way sungwoon was treated (or is treated) by fans of other members is so rude. Right now I am just waiting for it to be 2019 and hotshot is a whole again.
It was cheap for Wanna One to copy seventeens theme of matching rings and just slap on ‘the golden age’ on top of it and call it their own.

After the whole wanna one scandal happen with them talking trash on air happened, I knew my suspicions were right. They're just whining boys who won a popularity contest and don't really care about anything. They all sounded so ungrateful in the video, and it was obviously them talking. I hope they just finish promotions fast and quietly.
