“y’know, with our sheer numbers i thought that the next few years or so would just be the savoias hosting weddings across continents.” she snorted, in a terrifyingly inelegant manner, sipping at her glass of raki. “but god, i love weddings! don’t you love weddings?” shooting her cousin a wide grin, ariel didn’t even give him a chance to answer before continuing. “do you like turkish food? b says she doesn’t care if anyone at the dinner would rather have mcdonalds, but it’s your birthday! so you should have the final say.” ( @alessandrxs​ )

as soon as the paparazzi fell away from view, dalia let go of her brother’s arm, the pretty smile fell out of her face as easily as it was placed. “making your societal debut in a royal wedding is ballsy, but i suppose you enjoy feeling important.” her voice was light, only mildly touched by bitterness. perhaps it was her eyes, forged in the fire of the stage and all its drama, that told the honest truth. they didn’t belong here, in this parade of important leaders with their embarrassingly long titles, no matter who decided to adopt them. “darius and i were talking about you marrying us off over christmas, i’m sure that you’d just love to host the next royal wedding.” ( dcmvs ) 

“listen, i tried my best, my absolute best to cover up today.” ariel has been to istanbul before, and she wouldn’t really like to test the strength of her diplomatic immunity. “but fucking hell some people are ballsy, look at her! she looks amazing, doesn’t she? it almost makes all the side-eyeing worth it.”  (  @bastivvn​  )

“i’m sorry,” she began, half-laughing already and reaching forwards to refill her third glass of wine for the night. “they let you in? the one that they decided was capable of killing the russian tsar? i mean- oh excuse me – almost killing him…” dalia waved away the inference, as if terrible things like an assassination happen all the bloody time. “is the new years party the most exciting it gets? because this party is quite a bore compared to that. you know what the worse part is? i still get invitation to hollywood parties! it’s award season and all of my friends went to all of the parties while i was stuck in phuket. thank god i managed to sneak out for the vanity fair after party.” ( mimidbg​ )

“i have a bone to pick with you.” she marched over to her brother, her lips pursed with mock annoyance. “does it really take a wedding for us to spend some time together? now i know that your wife is fucking beautiful and you’d much rather stare at her face than spend time with your sister, but... hello!” ariel waved a hand at his face, letting her serious mask crack with a little laughter.   ( @bicl​ )
