I just get the sense that realizing ada might have been manipulated or coerced into this line of work and is the same age range as the protagonists of re2 (she is 3 yrs older than leon tops, they could have gone to high school together) really detracts from the racist fantasy people have of ada being the seductive mature force that corrupts and seduces the white guy
#ada wong haters explain to me why you don't like her in a way that doesn't#immediately evoke the phrasing and imagery of the dragon lady#now if we want to talk about how decisions are made my capcom and the writers themselves- let's talk about that#*by#but many of them are only willing to imagine new futures/realities for these characters if they're white#so when they try to think about ada they can only default to stereotype#<- they meaning fans
