Wait, What?
Alastor had worked for the Ministry of Magic for as long as Alex had known him. They’d lived together in Britain for almost five years now, during which time Alastor’s office had not moved once.
So why, oh why, was Alex unable to find his own husband in his place of work?
Dammit he couldn’t even find a health desk. What did this place have against maps? He turned around, holding the packed lunch Alastor had forgotten that morning- for the fifth day in a row! In a row! Alex knew that Moody was stingy with details about his personal life, knew that he wouldn’t like Alex to be in the Ministry at all, but Alex was done letting his husband’s paranoia keep him from eating. Also Alex had been trying out a new recipe for homemade scones and Alastor’s forgetfulness meant that he hadn’t gotten any feedback at all yet because the man kept forgetting to eat them.
Finally, despairing that he’d ever find Alastor let alone manage to wander out of this place, he turned to the nearest person crossing through the waiting area.
“Excuse me! Sorry to bother you, but I am hopelessly lost. You wouldn’t happen to know where the Auror offices are, would you?”
