Golden.
The color caught her attention almost immediately. It was impossible to miss that swath of golden hair in a crowd. The curls were a trademark of only one girl Weiss knew. The short huntress stopped mid-step and almost immediately turned on her heels, her eyes remaining fixed on the fast-disappearing figure of Yang Xiao Long through the crowds of the Shopping District.
Damn her tiny legs and her short stature. Weiss made no hesitation to start shoving against the crowds, offering hurried âexcuse meâs here and there and making sure she did her best not to stomp on any toes.
âYang?â
She pitched her voice up, hopefully shouting loud enough for the blonde to hear her. Once she pulled herself out of a particularly congested pocket of the crowd, she started to run. It was a quick and girly run, and she wouldâve gone faster if she actually had her glyphs available.Â
âYang!â
She tried again, her voice significantly louder. If Yang somehow missed the sound of her shouting, Weiss was almost certain the brawler would pick up on Weissâs heels against concrete. Once she was close enough to the blonde, she wasted no time trying to hurl herself forward and loop her arms around Yangâs shoulders.
The hug was expected, that much Weiss was sure of. Hopefully Yang wasnât too opposed to the idea of Weiss clinging to her like some kind of leech. It was relieving, reassuring, to see yet another member of her team here. There was a kind of happy flutter in her chest that drew forth a stray giggle from the short heiress, a sudden rush of happiness to melt away most of the stress sheâd felt earlier.
âHow long have you been here?!â Weiss hoped it wasnât too long. There was no way in hell the heiress had simply looked over someone that important to her. Yang was just as easy to pick out in a crowd as Weiss was.
