Kyungsoo arrives five minutes before the appointed time, as always. If there was something he was taught while growing up was that being late for an appointment is not only insulting but it demonstrates a complete lack of manners. Fortunately, Kyungsoo does know how to plan his time accordingly and with such detail that a single minute lost is enough to delay his entire day.
He is a man with methodical ways who plans every single thing and always has a plan B just in case. And probably a plan C as well. Which means that him standing there for the past six minutes is already a waste of his day.
The man he is supposed to meet arrives with a scarf covering half of his face, a jacket twice his size, sneezing like he is the bearer of all viruses known to man. He outstretches his hand but Kyungsoo dismisses him with a āno, thanks, I plan to remain healthy for now.ā Heās a friend, he is used to Kyungsooās singular mood. āYouāre late Mr. Park.ā Is all he says. One minute, he hears the other reply āWell, lives can change in a minute.ā He may sound like a drama queen to the older, but he is quite right, he knows that. He is handed what he came to get, watches the other rant between sneezes and coughing fits, understanding that he is thanking him for the favor and that he understands that Kyungsoo doesnāt usually do that sort of photoshoot before Kyungsoo interrupts him.Ā āI owed you one, Iām repaying, I wonāt do it again so now that youāre grateful, go home, youāre either going to get sicker or cough a lung and I donāt want to see either.ā He gets an eyeroll and another coughing fit. Kyungsoo exhales.Ā
Ten minutes later he is going through his equipment at the studio. Camera, check, lenses, he has a few out, heāll pick once he decides on how he wants the shoot to go, but check. White background, bland, heāll decide later too. One can probably see heās not too enthusiastic about the shoot, heās just doing a friend a favor. Catalog photography is not his style, but he supposes he can have his take on it and make it more enjoyable if the client is not a pain in the ass. And speaking of which, where is that client anyway?Ā āLate. It figures.ā
