Esmerayās favorite part of working at the bowling alley had always been the regulars, that was probably the reason that she spent nearly as much time behind the front desk as she did in her office. Something about getting to know the people that came in and out of the bowling alley made the connection feel like more than a simple buisness exchange, even if the relationship was something as simple as knowing if they used guide rails or not, the size shoe that they wore, or if they preferred hotdogs or nachos as their designated bowling snack.
One of those regulars was Beckett Carter. He came in every Wednesday to take full advantage of their kids bowl for half price night. Although she tended to stay away from families with children she couldnāt exactly ignore when his daughter Nola had wondered into her office, somehow completely avoiding her fathers careful eye.
Esmeray smiled when she saw their three familiar faces enter the plaza.Ā āAh back for another bowling date I see?ā She asks with a smile, already grabbing their shoe sizes off of the wall. She set them on the counter, tapping away at the computerĀ āTwo rounds, guide rails for all three?ā She asks, raising an eyebrow up at Beckett teasingly.Ā
