Finally setting up reverse proxies for all my services at home and starting by unifying all my webserver proxying through caddy. Rewrote the config for my VPS to also serve the food blog and RSS reader through caddy and dumped Nginx. If you're deploying a webserver or doing TLS termination and you don't want to think about jack shit I recommend Caddy, very easy to set up and good enough for most things.
Caddy is a powerful, enterprise-ready, open source web server with automatic HTTPS written in Go
It has some crazy plugin capabilities that I want to leverage to do automatic on-demand thumbnailing and caching for the food blog so that I don't have to figure out how to do thumbnails in Pelican with Asciidoc.
Caddy will automatically retrieve and configure certs for you from ZeroSSL/LetsEncrypt/others and maintain them without you having to fuck with cronjobs, and it has good configuration for e.g. integrating with your DNS provider to automatically provide updated DNS entries. I want to get it to provision some wildcards that I can use on my LAN services.
Caddy can also act as a local CA, creating its own keys and handing out certs for an internal network, I use this for some internal testing shit at work.
never watched euphoria before but i hope cassie and maddy get a spin off show where they fake their deaths, get new identities, and become actresses on a hit lesbian show and scissor both within the context of the show and in their actual lives
