It was not often the King himself had to deal with the aftermath of an abyssal creature. The monsters called demons, who would feast on other's flesh. Who would be eventually hunted down by celestial guardians. With none ever being concerned that these beings once... were bright stars like them.
It was for the best. They should be laid to rest. And yet, it was painful for the King to see that body, slowly disappearing. Turning to ash. All he could do was watch, and remember.
His wings drooped, the brilliant light reflecting, creating intriquite patterns on the ground, on the walls of the narrow street, like sun through stained glass. His celestial light usually would cause some people to look, yet he made sure to remain unseen to strangers.
He didn't account for anyone he had met to run into him right now.
