The day began as any normal one. Endymion rose, used a basin of water to rinse his face and wash out his mouth. Then he began the walk to the Tyrell quarters. That’s when his day took a strange turn. The woman he’d met in the bar, the one from Asshai, came strolling up to him and wrapped her arm through his. 

“Walk with me.” 

She whispered in his ear before letting out a startlingly truthful sounding laugh. Endymion immediately turned his head to see where the woman had come from. Behind them, there was a large, foolishly drunk man with two goon friends. The pieces began to click together. 

“You don’t seem like a woman who let’s men like that bother her.” He whispered in return as hurried down the path.

“You don’t know what kind of woman I am.” The woman replied, her eyes almost mischievous. She was right about that. Endymion barely knew her. He didn’t even know if he could trust her. Perhaps she just stole that man’s coin and was looking for an easy escape. Even if that were the case, Endymion couldn’t leave her. 

The man called out to them. Endymion stopped. It would not look food for the First Ranger of the Night’s Watch to kill a man in the streets of the capitol. Instead, he leaned over a pressed a kiss to Ceryse’s cheek before he turned to look at the man.
