I used to live in New Orleans and read street tarot for money. It was a nice set up and all, mostly legal, though the city sometimes threatened to implement a license because the artists that set up on the square were. They were kind of bitter when it came to us tarot readers. It’s why I preferred working at night. That and my look was right for the part. The older readers usually set up during the day, tended to cultivate the ren faire vibe. Night readers were all younger, weirder. The occult side of the local Goth scene. I wouldn’t say I necessarily believed in the cards or that I was psychic. it was a bit of cold reading with a dash of charisma and quick thinking. Amateurs told you what each card meant, professionals told you how they connected to create a bigger picture. The client applies it to their life.
John reminded me a lot of those days when I first started reading Hellblazer. He reminded me of people I’d known, he reminded me of myself. There was a certain amount of familiarity. I understood haunted London, because I’d lived somewhere just as strange and haunted. In a way, writing John keeps me connected to a part of myself that I’ve long since grown apart from, but I don’t want to forget those days. It’s also a way to connect to the masculinity that I’d always felt is a part of me, tho not nearly enough to identify as a man. I like a little masculinity as a treat, you might say.
Dunno why I’m sharing this. I guess I wonder if other people are connected to their muses on a personal as well as creative level.
Happy Birthday Baby.
Another picture of May0... this cute ship will always live on in my heart <3

"Let my eyes see yours. For I know what's right and wrong, but you are clueless"
There needs to be more May0 in tag, so here have some! I really like my line art but my shading is crap :/ I would love if the computer could shade for you instead of you having to do it. Anyway this is like the sprouting of a flower that signifies I’m going to come back here :D
Do you remember when I used to active on this blog?
