It’s safe to say that whatever new project they launch in the BanG Dream! series will always have a hard time trying to find its place and competing with older groups that are already established. Still, how they have consistently released new bands that connected with the audience and explored music from a new angle—be it the lyrics, the genre, or the choice of instruments—has all fans excited or, at least, eagerly anticipating what YUME∞MITA will bring to the table.

I’ll be honest with you: I went into the first episode almost blind, not really sure what to expect. Of course—like many of you—I’ve watched other BanG Dream! shows, played the mobile games, and had their songs stuck in my head for days (“FIRE BIRD”, anyone?), but I hadn’t really followed the news surrounding this new entry, other than the release of their song “Tuning” and the first key visual. And boy they got my attention from the first few scenes…
