UPDATE TIME: not much has changed with moch, she's eating and drinking normal ( as she was before the vet apt ) but her stomach still feels kinda tight. It's the last day for her critical care medication ( WHICH HAS BEEN A SLOG JESUS CHRIST I HATE THAT SHIT ) so I'm relieved I won't have to stress her with that everyday. Beyond that I'm thinking of syringe feeding her water to ensure her fecal matter moves at a steady pace and have a follow up appt booked for her next wed. I'm still pretty stressed but hopefull over all : I read up on some things that suggest since it's shedding season her hair could be kicking things up so I'm gonna buy some pineapple as I read the enzymes in it help break down food and such.

Alright kids time for a bunny update. Mochi is alright but is in fact sick. She's very constipated which is causing a mass of fecal matter to build up in her system which is astounding to me because she eats very well ( I keep her on a healthy diet of hay and straight pellets, few treats and tons of fresh water ) the vet was surprised by it as well. This, while still troubling is better news than what she thought it was originally ( a tumour ) . She also has a UTI which is common in rabbits and is probably contributing to her bloat and discomfort. I have meds I'm to administer several times a day and keep an eye on her which I am doing vigilantly. All said and done I'm taking her in for a follow up in two weeks and will be contacting the vet should anything else troublesome happen. The most frightening thing for me though was when the vet told me and I quote ' it's good you trusted your gut and brought her in when you did or this could have gotten much worse. ' bunnies guts are very sensitive and had I left it alone till Monday ( like the tech had suggested before checking with the vet ) I might not still have my little 😢😢😢
