a smartphone and a wallet – “actual no-brainers, right?”
although barely anyone notices it, soobin’s phone is always in a nearly perfect condition. despite him not using any kind of case for protection. he just never let it drop and makes sure to handle it with care. and also whenever han is accidentally destroying it he also manages to repair it without soobin noticing.
a pair of noise cancelling headphones – “these saved my life so many times... you won’t believe how noisy people can be at the library...”
soobin isn’t all that crazy about music. it’s not bad but it’s also not the salvation some people make it. in general white noise or the sound of rain, thunderstorms, the sea or anything similar will do the job just as well. whenever he’d feel rebellious he’d switch to asmr.
changing clothes – “okay, forget what i just said. these are life-savers! oh trust me, every medical student keeps at least some underwear and a fresh shirt somewhere easy accessible at any time!”
just the idea of being smelly is torture to soobin. and while fragrances or deodorants are definitely an option to avoid that, working at the hospital has teach him how much more effective a change of wardrobe would be. even the most beloved perfume won’t make it better when you have someone else’s blood on you.
a pair of scissors – “honestly i don’t know what to tell you about this without sounding weird. let’s just say it’s handy to have scissors around, okay?”

scissors tend to be the one thing people could need constantly while being outside but yet nobody is ever able to provide some. except for soobin. there is no specific reason he decided to carry some around with him at all times - and actually get into trouble because of them more than once - but it feels right to him. and even if it would not, han would never allow him to leave them behind. every warlock is in desperate need of a subject to channel their magic and though metal might be harder to control and the outcomes might be less powerful it still is han’s choice. after all if the spell goes wrong, you still might use the scissors to stab them in the eye or slit their throat until they bleed to death. Sometimes violence can be just as useful as magic.
his diary – “no, i cannot let you look inside. what do you think why i call it a diary?”
he never talks about it but soobin tends to be upset about not being able to remember what happens when han is in control. and in order to keep track of his black outs he had have a diary for almost 15 years now. secretly soobin still hopes that han would participate in those recordings and let him be a part of his life. but han couldn’t care less about it - he doesn’t need a diary.
the pages of the notebook are actually enchanted and soobin is provided with a new one by his grandmother regularly. whatever he writes onto those pages will forever be a secret. if other people should get their hands on it or peak inside it they will only see what they want to see - what they believe what soobin would write into this notebook. study notes, shopping lists or even stupid poets, people will only see their perception of the male in his writing.
