"Wow, Zanka, this is so detailed... down to the very second of my hypothetical bathroom break too." "Gotta be prepared for everythin', [Name]. I ain't settlin' for anythin' average when it comes to ya." "So you're acknowledging that you're not average?" "... Only witcha, though." "I don't agree, but I'll take that win!"

During the date, Zanka made sure that everything goes according to plan... even when he can clearly see Enjin, Riyo, and Rudo tailing behind you two like lost puppies. They were wearing over-the-top disguises that made them stand-out more within the crowd, equipped with a camera that has the brightest flash known to mankind. Each time they snapped a photo, they quickly hid behind a wall or person, chuckling to themselves like they were some kind of geniuses.

"Are they part of the...?" "Nah, let's jus'... ignore 'em for now."

While it's a fact that Zanka is a proper gentleman, he seemed to upped all his antics to another hundred for the date. He's more aware of the surroundings, shielding you away from potential threats whilst keeping you entertained with questions about the date and whatever caught your eyes on the street.

He had a hand on the small of your back, idly rubbing circles whenever a comfortable silence floats on your air. He's heart was thumping loudly inside his chest, hammering against his ribs that he lowkey wondered whether you could hear it or not. A soft smile plastered on his lips when he noticed that you were genuinely enjoying the date he had painstakingly planned for over a month (that he definitely did not overthink every second of the day).

The two of you went on a tour around Canvas Town, taking part with some booths where an artist draws you photobooth-style, and where you two paint each other with different mediums. Afterwards, you two two bought some foods to have a picnic in the protected nature-dome two rides away. Then, while having the picnic, Zanka let you yapped his ears away, talking about anything and everything that comes into your mind—and he does the same when you asked him about his interests too.

Finally, as the closing page of the day, he saved—read: bought—the best spot for the fireworks celebration in the town nearby. It was secluded enough that even your stalkers weren't able to keep up. As he watched you be painted by the bright colours booming in the sky, he couldn't help but say,

"I wanna spend the rest of m'life witcha..." "Hmm? Did you say something, Zanka?" "Happy Valentine's, [Name]. I love ya." "I love you too, Zanka."

Fu, of course, went to Enjin for advice. A.K.A, begging the man to plan the day for him.

Enjin refused, naturally, but did gave some pretty good advices.

Fu then spent around an entire week basically ignoring your very existence while he tried to plan the best Valentine's day date with Hii's help. He'd let out a startled yelp whenever you so much lightly tap his shoulder, asking if he was okay or whether you did anything wrong to make him mad.

Luckily, his senses returned early and he explained himself to you... in a slightly jumbled way.

"Do you know how much it hurt to be ignored by my boyfriend?" "I'm sorry, [Name]! I didn't mean to—I swear! I was just..." "Just what, Fu? Trying to kill me with silence?" "NO! Um... I was trying to plan the perfect Valentine's date for you with Hii's help... but I let it consume all my attention." "...That's sweet and all, Fu, but I'm still mad." "I know, and I'll work to make it up for you! I promise!""I'll hold you to that, then."

Cue a near meltdown with Hii.

"AHHH! I still don't know what to do, Hii!!!" "Calm your balls, moron! It's clear you already know what you want to plan, so just dump it all and read it again and again!"

Fu listened, and dumped everything he wanted to do with you on a date. It was... a lot. Like, a ten-pages, back-to-back font size 10 lot. His eyes almost bulged out of his sockets when he reread what he had wrote!

Well, now that he had this... he should be able to create an outline, right?

During Valentine's, you were genuinely surprised when Fu took control of the date. It wasn't like you didn't have confidence on your boyfriend, but knowing his tendencies to pull out of a leadership role, it was refreshing to see him be somewhat confident with what he had planned all by himself (featuring Hii's help, of course).

The two of you went window shopping through Canvas Town, only ever buying trinkets when it was on sale or free. After buying some snacks from a booth, Fu faked a bathroom emergency and surprised you with a bouquet of your favourite flowers—complete with a handwritten letter essentially just glazing your existence while reminding you how much he love and cherish you.

It was honestly so sweet.

When you two returned back to the HQ, Fu worked up all the courage he could muster to kiss you right on the lips! Hii actually cheered for his ward, celebrating a long-list of achievements Fu had made during the day. You returned the gesture with a thanks, promising to take him out on a date you'd planned in return.

"I hope you enjoyed our date, [Name]...!" "Are you kidding me? I absolutely loved it, Fu! I'm so glad to see you slowly step out of your box and become comfortable taking charge!" "Really?! You mean it?!" "Of course! Thank you for this wonderful Valentine's." "Anything for you...!"

Enjin walking by to get water: "Ugh, where's the respect for us singles?"

Jabber only noticed something was wrong when you ignored his presence for three days straight. When he asked—read: yapped about it—to Momoa did he learned that you were probably pissed he hadn't brought up anything related to Valentine's day.

He scratched his chin. Huh, was that day really that special...?

Don't get him wrong; he absolutely know what the day was about and the expectations it had on couples. He just didn't expect that you'd be hung up on that too.

"Baby! Are ya really ignorin' me just 'cus I ain't plannin' any dates?" "Are you seriously asking me that, Jabber Wonger?!" "Ah, shit. You really are mad. Aight, I'ma plan somethin'. Happy now?" "You little shi—"

And so, Jabber tried to plan a somewhat acceptable date... within his criteria, that is. Everything was packed full of fights, stake-outs for potential strong Givers, stealing poisons from the apothecary, and trying them on his body.

When he showed it to you, you all but smacked it back to his face—even when you obviously liked some parts of it.

"You call this a date?! It's basically just another mission." "C'mon, what more do you want, baby! We gonna be fightin', stealin', and kissin' like we in a move or somethin'!" "Oh, geez, how romantic." "See! Ya finally gettin' it!" "I was being sarcastic!" "Awwww, sowwy!"

Fine. He begrudgingly added some of your interests as well. Though, he made it perfectly clear that the day will be spent rolling on dirt, so you most definitely did not need to beautify yourself.

Momoa wished you luck before you and Jabber went out for the date.

As per his last minute plan, you two went out to steal some jewelry and clothing from a high-end boutique that you've been meaning to visit. After running away from the owner, you two cornered some strong Givers to fight for a light stretch of your muscles (though, you did let Jabber do most of the work). Whether your opponent was strong or not, the two of you ended up in a restaurant that, surprisingly, Jabber made a reservation!

"You... made a reservation...?" "You sayin' that like it ain't possible." "I'm just surprised!" "Surprise that I, your best boyfriend, know the restaurant you been yappin' my ears off for weeks?" "Well, if you put it like that, then—"

When you two were finished eating, Jabber all but dragged you into a secluded and abandoned sewer. Just when you were beginning to believe he dragged you there for another bloody fight, he shushed you and promised that he was going to make the date 'the most romantic one so far.' Whatever that meant.

What did he do? He fixed up an old projector that somehow showed you what stars are said to look like up on the Sphere.

"Surprise, baby! Do ya like it or what?!" "...It's so beautiful...!" "Duh, I fixed it myself. But, heh, you starstruck as hell, baby." "I take back what I think, I love you—freak and all." "The hell were ya even thinkin'—"

Of course, he had to end it with the bang: making you two the test dummies for his latest poisons.

Follo decided to straight-up ask you what you wanted for Valentine's Day.

It wasn't like he didn't trust himself with planning a surprise date for you, but rather, he wanted to personally verify that the ideas he have in mind aligns with what you truly wanted for the day. Of course, that doesn't mean that he let you plan the date; he just centred it more towards your preferences rather than his.

"Babe, what do you wanna do for Valentine's Day?" "Hmm? Fishing for my likes and dislikes?" "Kinda? Wanna make sure it's perfect for my person, y'know?"

He kissed your temple after you yapped about everything you wanted, promising to wow you to the Sphere and back.

And wow it did make you!

He woke you up with a personalised breakfast on bed, complete with all the vitamins you've been meaning to refill for the month. To be honest, you almost ruined the surprise since you most definitely did not anticipate waking up with a smoking plate of a breakfast platter while your mind was just booting itself up. Luckily, you did not manage to knock the food down and enjoyed a comfortable morning with Follo in bed.

After some quick tasks and mission prep, the two of you headed out to enjoy the festivities of Valentine's Day in Canvas City. Hand-in-hand, you visited different booths, tried street food, painted each other's faces, and bought trinkets to surprise one another.

You then discovered that Follo enrolled you two in a baking class with other couples. It was hosted by a popular bakery-chain that you both were a fan of. The objective of the one-day class was to bake a two-tier cake, with the flavour up to the couple's preferences! What really got you was the discount you two had since Follo was the first one to sign up!

You nearly suffocated your boyfriend by how excited you were while tying the apron around his waist.

"I can't believe we get to bake a cake with all these expensive ingredients!" "I know right? When I saw the ad, I immediately signed us up, hehe." "You're the best, babe!" "Anything for you, [Name]!"

The pastry chef was easy to follow, even commending you a job well done after seeing your decent cake attempt! You messed with Follo a bit while baking, though. Smudging some frosting on the tip of his nose, switching a tiny amount of sugar for salt when he's about to taste it, and even hiding some measuring cups from him!

Of course, he returned the favour. He did those to you as well, plus blowing some flour into your face. You two did make a bit of a mess in your station, but at least you two had your share of fun—plus, a cake to eat after dinner!

When the two of you returned back to HQ, Follo pushed you to quickly take a bath and meet him in his room. You obliged, though not without a quick peck on his lips before scurrying to your bathroom. Semiu saw the interaction but said nothing, though you did see her lips curve upward!

Walking inside Follo's room shocked you, not because it was the first time you ever did, but because it was decorated with balloons and some photos of you together. Hell, there was even a small vase of your favourite flowers!

Turns out, Follo planned for a movie marathon night with you, starring the cake you two baked from earlier.

"All these... for me?" "I wanted to show you how much I love you... is it too much?" "No, no! I'm just... really surprise and grateful, Follo..." "I'm glad... I love you, [Name]." "I love you, too, Follo!"

The two of you stayed up all night binge-watching trashy romance movies, which for you was the perfect way to finish Valentine's Day with your boyfriend.

As expected, Tikki and Plagg are the main MCs. Marinette and Adrien's fights will be going on concurrently so Tikki will be commentating Marinette's fights while Plagg commentates on Adrien's. They'll have the most dialogue of the kwamis, so I do want them to have unique ways of discussing what they're seeing.

Pollen will be working directly for the Bourgeois'. As a VIP with a direct relationship with the international director of Angelic Layer, Chloe has her own private practice layer in her home and Pollen is in charge of it's upkeep and maintenance. She matches Armand the Bulter's levels of competence.

Trixx is a Rena Rouge mega fan. They've been following Alya's blog for as long as they can remember and are mega stoked that Alya moved to their city. When Alya starts to doubt herself, it's Trixx's voice that can be heard cheering her on to not give up.

Nooroo and Duusu are servants in the Agreste Estate. Unknown to Adrien, they are fully aware of his sneaking around to play and the two do what they can to make excuses and deflect Nathalie when Adrien isn't where he's supposed to be. They're rooting him on from the shadows!

Wayzz is the adult son of Marianne and Fu. He brings them to Angelic Layer fights against his will because the two really enjoy them. The two seem to be really invested in Ladybug and Chat Noir's career (and the behind the scenes shenanigans that they secretly spy on).

Longg is Kagami's bodyguard. Like Nooroo and Duusu, they are fully aware of what Kagami is doing behind her mother's back and feigns ignorance when Kagami pulls something..."sneaky" to get to a fight secretly.

Here's where we get into some existing jobs from the show:

Orikko and Kaalki are the "Layer Hot Girls (and boy)". lol I just thought it was funny that Angelic Layer even has them.

Mullo is the sales clerk at the Princess Piffle store (the store where you can buy your Angel and all the accessories). All of them lol. Mullo and her many many sisters who look just like her.

Barkk and Fluff take similar but still different roles (the uniforms are ALMOST the same but there are some tiny differences). So Barkk is the receptionist at the Practice Ring (literally you pay to reserve a mini-layer to practice on) while Fluff is the waitress/cashier at the cafeteria at the Tournament Center.

Daizzi is a nurse where Rose goes to the hospital and she has segmental localized vitiligo. Rose is particularly close to Daizzi since she helps Rose make her donations to the hospital.

Sass is the backstage directory, aka, the guy who makes things run. He has an earpiece that has the same diamond pattern as his pants on it! The anime does show one person who helps backstage, but I wanted to have a little fun with Sass's look and tie in to him being "in charge" of the kwamis.

Ziggy works at Socqueline's family art supply shop, which is frequented by Angelic Layer players who are on a bit of a budget. They love talking with the customers about their angels, though mostly the design part.

Stompp is Ivan's foster mother and Roarr his foster sister (Stompp's bio-daughter). I actually didn't think of what kind of job this outfit would be good for, but I think she'd make a good security guard - usually working at rock concerts, which she bonds with Ivan over, but she's also been hired for Angelic Layer tournaments. Sometimes sore losers get a little...violent.

Roarr falls in love with Juleka's Angel Purple Tigress immediately thanks to her pre-existing love of tigers in general. She's even bold enough to proclaim her love to Juleka herself!
