I don't think I've ever said but I find it hard to ship Hajari w anyone bc of the magnetic way he and his on/off gf, Tatum, are drawn to each other. The pull of familiarity and the promise of someone that knows him in his entirety is incredibly tempting for Hajari... bc it's safe and bc he doesn't have to pretend around Tatum. He can't pretend around her. She knows his tricks and how he hides and confronts him when she knows he'd rather slink into a hole to die. But their relationship isn't necessarily good... It's like a time loop for them both; they immediately revert to the people they used to be when together. And the same story beats happen and they end up fighting long, hard, and nasty. And the relationship deteriorates again... and again... and again. That's why I'm glad whenever Hajari (--Tatum too, if she ever gets shipped w someone--) finds someone else... like Jamie. It breaks the cycle and forces the both of them to move on.
