I wanna be reckless, wanna live it up just because, I wanna feel weightless, and that should be enough.
"go ahead and get started—i'll be back."
were the only words left behind before soojung found herself completely alone in the indoor pool--mouth wide open like a gaping fish out of water.
get started--
get started on what?
it was supposed to be a new training course -- supposedly -- soojung doesn't know in which or what way how to go about it but--it is.
so...
logically she should do something right?
awkwardly--as if she was under the scrutiny of an invisible (but important--given the weigh it has on her conscious) being--soojung shuffles toward the edge of the pool, opting to take a seat right before it as she tucks her ankles under her knees.
get started -- how should she get started?
idly, her eyes focus on the pool of crystalline water before her, fingers drumming against her kneecaps as she offers a bit of focus, a bit of power, to lift the smallest of droplets.
and a few million more after it.
it's pretty -- that's her first thought, head tilting in wonder at the sparkling droplets floating in midair, heightened by the sun shining through glass planed windows, they look like jews. crystals.
soojung is exactly the type of fawning, (somewhat) superficial, and girly eighteen year old that would eat that up.
especially since staring at something breathtaking reminds her far less of another who's taken a part of her with upon his leave--
no.
that was a bad place to go to now, soojung.
a clang is what tears her away from her internal conflict -- panicking easily as she loses focus, gravity tearing down what her mutation had been keeping up as the room full of droplets starts falling -- soaking the girl from head to toe as she splutters--surprised and exasperated with herself.
"i just want to live."
