The dynamic with kids on Stargate SG-1 is so funny because Jack adopts kids but kids adopt Sam

Just watched Superman (1978) for the first time and as a Marvel girlie I can't help but imagine how little patience J Jonah Jameson would have for Clark Kent if he was his boss. Like the third time Clark was like "WoOoOoAhaH!" and dropped all his papers JJJ would be like I can't watch this you're fired.

I will always love that they wrote this so that the typically less intimidating members of the team were wearing protective suits, which necessitated the use of Teal'c as the less scary option so he got to be the one who convinced her to come out and trust them.

Loved seeing Sam and Janet working together in this episode. My headcanon is that while they were friendly prior to this episode, this was probably the incident where they became friends out of work.

As the team try to clear out Daniel's apartment, Teal'c talks about this old Ancient Egyptian game he and Damnel used to play, and I love that this is proof that the two of them are genuine friends - that they hang out together during down time and Daniel is passing on his knowledge to Teal'c. You only really see glimpses of their friendship, but it's there.

I don’t think they’d ever get married, personally. Mulder is a child of acrimonious divorce and Scully just doesn’t seem the type to crave that sort of thing. They don’t really need to, at this point they’re so closely entwined that it’s unnecessary. They’re a matched pair, they’re a set with a ‘do not separate’ sticker stuck on them. Scully had Mulder witness her living will when they had barely known each other two years, I’m sure by now they’ve covered every legality and bought a shared plot in a cemetery. That’s enough. That’s more than they thought they’d get in years past. No white dress needed.

One of my favorite things from the 9th doctor's season was all the hand holding. Never felt like anything that was a big deal, never showy, never tension filled. From when it seemed more platonic to even more in a love setting, it felt wholesome and sweet. A lot of people say 9 was grumpy but I feel he was just a bit more serious, after rewatching the season he is so incredibly physically affectionate. Hand holding, forehead kisses, hugs, all of it so pure and kind.
