the demons’ designs are SUPER FUCKING WICKED. have you ever seen anything so cool

speaking of designs, EVERY human seems too have a unique and recognizable design, and there are so many characters. The art is honestly fantastic and I’m especially impressed with later chapters

the main story is fascinating and keeps up the momentum from S1 of the anime, even if it turns from kind of a jailbreak story to a survival story for a bit

the characters who are geniuses actually act like it (and not in a “smart people are wizards” way)

Ray’s character development in general - very satisfying. Norman’s too actually, they kind of switched places on the “would not trust with a knife” scale

Emma was probably acting as Norman’s moral compass all those years at grace field because his is…. kind of……. not working

So there’s this seal rehabilitation center I like to watch the livestream of from time to time. This morning was pool cleaning day, the day they weigh the rescue seals and photograph them to keep track of their rehabilitation progress as a sudden change in weight is a serious health indicator among other things. The box helps keep them on the scale as, otherwise, you cannot weigh bouncy boys.

This seal was having NONE OF IT. One of the workers was attempting to get the seal to turn so they could get a photo of its side. (They are not hitting the seal, at most she is giving him a little shove in the direction it needs to turn.) HE DID NOT LIKE BEING TOUCHED WITH THE SQUEEGEE.

He did NOT like his photo being taken!

It’s that month again folks! Happy February.

idk if you “aren’t good at that stuff”, it’s never too late to learn!! there are many resources online and google is free!!

idk if your partner/sisters/mother/etc has always done it!! don’t wait to be assigned a task. figure out what needs to happen and make it happen!!

like definitely communicate with whoever usually does this stuff and let them know your plans – coordinating your efforts with others is an important part of this stuff – but don’t limit what you do to “helping”. be an equal team member!!

if you are expecting your wife or gf to pick out gifts for/send cards to/make arrangements with YOUR parents/siblings/etc. … why?? that’s your family. idk if your partner stays home and you work, working people find the time all the time! make those calls! don’t expect your wife or gf to be your social secretary and keep track of everything!!

Making one dish at a big meal is a good place to start if you don’t have a lot of experience cooking, but if you’re doing one dish and other people are doing more, you need to put in the work to learn and take on your fair share.

If you truly care about the women in your life, you will not expect them to take over your social responsibilities just because it’s socially acceptable for men to neglect kinship work.

if you have kids you’d better be involved in the planning and shopping for them, that’s part of parenting!! gifts “from mom and dad” that are a surprise to dad as well just prove you are failing at an important way to connect with your child!! also you’d better interact with your kids while they’re not in school!! play with them! read to them!! ask them how they’re doing and really listen!!

It is never too late to take up your share of kinship work!
