While getting changed, straightening your clothes, making sure your hair looks decent, you could hear a loud pounding coming from your chest and your stomach tied in a knot. You were a bit hesitant to ask Solomon if he wanted to take a walk in Diavolo’s garden today, you wanted to keep it on the down low so you two could hang out in peace. Well… the intention wasn’t exactly to hang out, of course you wanted to, but it was time to tell Solomon how you felt. Whenever you were with him, your heart overfilled with fear and joy to the point where you couldn’t touch him in the slightest without flushing red. You wanted to know how he felt, even if you got rejected, you to let him know of the joy in your heart when you see him.

“Hey, I had some free time today and I wanted to ask if you wanted to take a walk in Diavolo’s garden?”

Your heart skipped a beat when you saw that he opened your message right away. Darn… he was fast. The typing bubble on Solomon’s end made you restless. Waiting for him to reply felt like an eternity.

“MC! I wouldn’t mind a walk at the moment.”

“But unfortunately I have some business to take care of at the moment.”

“I’ll come pick you up once I’m finished up here, it shouldn’t take long.”

You were a bit impatient, but relieved since you had time to prepare yourself mentally.

Waiting around for Solomon was agonizing, you tried to distract yourself by working on other things, but all you could think of was him. In the end, you ended up pacing around the room, thinking of what you were going to say. It made you hot and dizzy when you kept pacing faster and faster, with your mind racing at the same pace. A knock at the door made you jump a bit, suddenly not feeling ready for this. You look at your phone and realize he texted you a bit ago, telling you that he was coming.

Before you could open the door, it seemed like he opened it faster.

“It’s so glad to see you! The whole ordeal I just went through was exhausting, it’ll be nice to walk around with you. Did you want to walk to the garden first, or take our time and look at other things?”

You’d rather get the confession out of the way first, since you couldn’t wait any longer. Delaying it would only make the whole experience more painful than it is because the knot in your stomach was getting tighter, and it only made you feel sick.

“Hey Solomon! Uh, why don’t we head straight to the garden first? It’s the perfect time of day since the fireflies with the blue butts come out, I’d hate to miss them.”

Your voice was a bit shaky, He could tell something was off with you but decided not to mention it.

“Ah of course! Let’s head over right away then.”

As you start heading over to the Demon Lords Castle, you might as well make conversation.

“So what kind of business were you taking care of?”

“Oh… the usual, Mammon practically begged me to get a witch off of his back. He said that she kept following him, and said he didn’t understand why.”

“I can kind see where this is going now..”

“Haha! So you can tell that Mammon owed her something and needed me to confront her so a deal of theirs wasn’t broken?”

His chuckle was so sweet to listen to, it’s too bad that they only call him when they need him.

“It’s definitely a classic Mammon situation that he’d get in to, heh”

You were about half way to the castle and getting a bit antsy. Were you really about to tell Solomon that you loved him? He’s an ancient sorcerer, someone to admire, it’s only sensible that he’s heard countless other confessions. One thing you understood is that even if he rejected you, he wouldn’t be any more awkward with you.

Solomon could tell you were nervous, not only could he see it in your mannerisms, he could feel it radiating off of you. He put a hand gently on your back and smiled, his own little way of reminding you that everything is alright. It made you feel a bit better, even if he didn’t understand what was going on with you, he still tried to ease your nerves through his sweet touch.

The garden was practically open to the public since Diavolo wanted to share the beauty of nature to everyone. A little secret was that the garden keepers grows the plants with a certain type of chemical, and that chemical prevents visitors from harming the plants when they come into contact with the gas that’s released since it gets absorbed through the skin. You picked the garden because many Devildom specialties grew there, they had arrangements of large flowers, small flowers, vines that are grown then used for decoration, and trees that were the home of many small animals that you’ve never laid eyes on. It created the perfect atmosphere for a confession.

“Oh wow! We picked the perfect time to come here MC, it looks beautiful..”

Solomon walked towards a giant flower and touched its silky petals.

“I never come here often, I never realized how many rare species of plants grew here. It’s really enchanting.”

Now was the moment, you had to tell him before you backed down. He looked especially handsome with blue light illuminating his face, could you really tell him?

“Uh… Solomon, there’s actually a different reason I brought you here, I hope you excuse my hidden motives.”

He looked at you with a curious glint in his eyes, patiently waiting for what you were going to say with a smile on his face. He knew you wouldn’t try to hurt him, he knows the feeling of someone with malice, but you had the completely opposite aura around you.

“Listen… this is a bit difficult to say, but I like you Solomon. I really like you and I’ve been meaning to tell you for a bit now.”

You had a stare that wouldn’t stray from his face, and watched for any signs on his face. The only thing you could observe was pure shock. He stopped moving entirely, with his eyes wide, processing the information. You were afraid you did something wrong, until he spoke.

“MC, stop kidding around…”

You could feel your stomach drop, did you make a mistake?

“Because I don’t think I could handle it if you didn’t reciprocate my feelings towards you.”

…

“…Huh?”

All you could manage was confusion.

“I guess I’ve always had a hunch that you liked one of the brothers, you’re always with them, so I understand why you would. I apologize if that’s a bit presumptuous of me to admit..”

Solomons voice was lower than usual, you could tell he didn’t fully believe your confession. You couldn’t comprehend what you were hearing, he liked you back, but thought you liked the brothers more than him? You gently grabbed his shoulders and spoke with a softer tone.

“Please don’t misunderstand me.. I really like the brothers.. but they aren’t you Solomon!”

His look changed to one of hope, but you needed him to know more. You needed him to know how much you adore him.

“You’re so smart, I’ve never met anyone with as much knowledge as you. It’s really admirable and I’m so happy that you share that limitless knowledge with me. You always make sure to teach me new facts, and take time out of your day to help me learn magic.. You’re so considerate to how I feel, and it’s so.. wonderful how you stand up for yourself and protect others around you. You’re cheeky and it’s so hilarious, you make such interesting food because of your creative mind, and-“

Solomon pulls you into a tight hug before you can finish your speech. You wrapped your arms around him, and made sure that you weren’t going to let him go.

“The point is, I really.. really like you, you have no idea how happy I am that you feel the same way…”

You let him know. Solomon squeezed you before he lifted his head up to look at your face.

“Of course I do, you’re such a charmer MC, really. You can captivate anyone, but I’m glad that your heart chose me out of anyone.”

You giggled a bit, you wouldn’t choose any one else over him, he’s crazy for thinking otherwise. Both of you leaned closer to each other with bright red faces. As you sealed your confession with a soft and longing kiss, it seemed like the gardens light grew softer. When you pulled away from each other, he grabbed your hand and interlocked his fingers with yours.

“You mean so much to me, thank you for choosing me. Never leave my arms again..”

🖋️ Asmodeus:

-Asmodeus believes that he can help you through buying any stationary items that you want. His logic is that the more you like your studying space, the more it’ll motivate you to study. If you want pens, highlighters, special notebooks, he’ll go on a shopping spree with you. This way, you spend time with him, and it can help you take some edge off and go back to studying after taking a break.

-While studying, he’ll even let you take his room for a while and focus if you want a beautiful space. He won’t mind being kicked out for a bit, or staying in order to support you. He just wants you to be happy so he can see your lovely smile, even if he isn’t the smartest in terms of book smart, he’ll help you as much as he can.

-“I hope you love your new space! I tried to make it specific to your tastes, if you want anything you can come to me. As a reward we can do face masks and relax!”

-If you want help with flash cards, he’ll make them so pretty that you’ll want to go through them all the time.

🖋️ Lucifer:

-Lucifer doesn’t get why you have struggle studying, but he notices you're having troubles and wants to make it easier on you. He can’t offer self care advice, mostly because he does not take of himself when he does his own work, but he’ll offer to be beside you while studying. If you have a problem that you have trouble with, he’ll break it down and explain each component in order to solve the question you’re on. When he’s not there, he’ll write down

-He offers his study, since he finds it important to focus on school work. His study is quiet, it’s cozy, the desk is nice and big so you can sprawl out your work, and the view from the window is gorgeous. If you’re antsy without noise, he can set up a record player and play some classical music that isn’t cursed.

-When preparing for a test, he’ll write mock up tests and grade them himself and go over it with you. Your future is very important to him, he wants you to have a successful life. He wants you to be happy and not have to worry about the struggles of living in the future.

-“Mc, I know this is difficult for you, but you can do it. If you get a good grade on the next exam, I’ll treat you to anything you want, but for now it’s important to focus and understand in order to get that luxury. Here, I’ll make you something energizing.”

🖋️ Mammon:

-He does not get why you want to study, he finds it boring and difficult to understand the material himself.

-He comes to you and offers to get you away from your work for a bit to come shopping with him. If he can’t help you understand your work, he can help you decompress, and get you in the space to feel like you want to work. He’ll take you out for food, clothes shopping, anywhere you want as long as it’ll help you feel better. His credit card will (probably) survive, but all he wants is to see a smile on your face.

-He read somewhere that going and listening to intellectual spaces helps to motivate some people. After hearing that, he suggests going to a museum or listening to a lecture from someone. He won’t pay attention, but even so, he’ll stay with you and endure sitting there for your benefit.

-“Y’know, I have my own difficulties with studying. It’s difficult to sit there for so long and focus, so it’s nice to just get up and walk, even if it’s just to clear your head. You have potential, so use it.”

-He doesn’t care about what grade you get, he just doesn’t want to see you sad if you don’t get the grade you want, so he tries to prevent it. He’ll be your number 1 fan no matter what happens.

🖋️ Satan:

-Satan takes a lot of time out of his own day to sit down with you, even when he’s not sitting down with you, he reads through your textbooks and makes note of things you need to remember. Sometimes you even find encouraging little notes stuck in some of the pages, reminding you to take breaks and how to break down big blocks of text. Other times, you find doodles of cats that he drew on a sticky note, it’s his little version of a reward.

-When you take breaks, he’ll set a time limit in order to keep you from procrastinating. He understands that you want time to yourself, but regardless of the work, he’ll be adamant on being on top of it. If you seem really out of it, maybe he can let your break go on a little while, since you seem like you need a nap.

-When preparing for a test, he does not go lightly on you, since he wants to see you achieve greatness. He’ll make his own lectures in order to go over the material, quiz you on content randomly throughout the day, and goes through your own notes to get it into your head.

💐 Simeon:

-Simeon loves visiting you in the human world because he barely gets to go, he’s either in the celestial realm or in the devildom. When he does go, he stays with you for a month or two before he absolutely needs to go back. This visit is considered his break and he loves spending it with you.

-You and Simeon have a movie night every week, just you two in order to spend time together. There are some human movies that are available in the celestial realm, but rarely. He suggests two types of movies, bad movies, and romantic movies. Since he’s a writer, he likes to criticize the direction and story telling of the movies, he cannot believe how bad and cliche some of the movies you have, get. He tends to gravitate towards romance movies when suggesting a genuine movie, this is because he likes the emotional closeness to you. When he’s watching these movies though, he sometimes thinks that you two have way better chemistry than the main characters in these story lines and thinks of how you two would handle situations in the movie. He likes when you pick a movie though, he likes to explore different options and styles of writing. One thing that will never change is how he loves to cuddle you, if you’re alright with it of course.

-Since he has a garden in the celestial realm, he grows various flowers outside of the home. He grows the, outside because he thinks direct sunlight is better for the flowers. This is also for your own good in case you have an allergy to the pollen. On occasions, he grows plants inside that don’t smell in case the weather isn’t ideal. He’s still a bit naive since the celestial realm has the same kind of weather every day. When he brings seeds to your home, sometimes you need to tell him that they don’t grow in this region of the world. Once he gets used to the technology you use, he makes sure to check what grows in your part of the world. He tries to grow your favourite kind of plant, and gets you to water the plants with him.

-The first time he’s asked to sleep in your bed, he’s a bit red in the face. He insists that you don’t need to offer him the bed.. the real reason is because he’s nervous of being so close to you, he’s not sure of the habits he does in his sleep, or how you’ll react if he accidentally pulls the blankets off of you, or something bolder like pulling you closer to him. No matter what, he’s happy that you wanted to sleep in the same bed as him since it shows you trust him.

💐 Barbatos:

-Barbatos asks for permission to visit you in the human world when he has a vacation. The downside is that he can’t stay for very long since he serves Diavolo, but comes as often as he can.

-Whenever he visits you, he has a habit of serving you like he would Diavolo. He does not mean to do this, but since he cares about you, he automates to his butler personality to show how he feels about you. You need to remind him that he can sit and relax around you. He listens to your advice for a while, until he gets antsy and ends up cleaning so you have a perfectly tidy place without any worries.

-He loves baking together, it’s not just a way to spend time with you, but both of you can sit at a table and enjoy your handiwork. Depending on your baking level, he will pick a recipe that’s a bit above your level so he can teach you how to bake it properly. He finds it to be a fun challenge for both of you, his part of the challenge is making sure that it’s fun for him and you to do.

-You have different foods in the human world, and he wants to make sure he tries all kinds of cuisines. This gives him new ideas for his own cooking, and a fun date idea. He suggests something new for dinner every night he’s there, so you go to different restaurants in order to try dishes. The thing is… going to new places all of the time can be a bit exhausting, so you ask him about delivery and he’s a bit surprised by it because he’s never tried ordering food through an app. They have akuber in the devildom, but Barbatos always makes supper, so he never needs to order out. After some time, the money adds up so Barbatos just makes the food himself since it’s cheaper for you and he makes excellent food, even if he’s never cooked the dish before.

-Barbatos always sleeps by himself, so he seems like he is glad to be joining you for sleep. In reality he’s a bit hesitant BECAUSE he always sleeps by himself. It’s a bit of a vulnerable position for him, but as long as he keeps reminding himself that it’s just you, he’s having the most comfortable sleep of his life alongside the person he cares about the most.

💐 Solomon:

-Solomon visits you a-lot since he doesn’t technically work anywhere, he goes wherever he’s needed. The downtime between him going somewhere is spent with you, at your home in the human world.

-He loves cooking for you! Mostly to your detriment… He has so much passion for what he makes for you, but you can’t tell what he was trying to make most of the time. He says that he put his own spin on the original dish, and then questions why you look so shocked as to what recipe he was trying to replicate. He always thanks you for making food or ordering though, just as long as he’s no where near the kitchen.

-When you’re doing something in your home, you’ll find little love notes in random places from Solomon, he leaves these in hopes that you’ll find them and feel loved. They are always in little envelopes that are stamped with a red rose to signify his love. He hides them in the weirdest places though, in a shoe, the back of the freezer, between the cushions of a couch, and the pocket of a coat you haven’t worn in a while.

-Whenever he goes out, he almost always comes back with a game for you to play with him. It could be a game as big as monopoly, or a dice game like Yahtzee. What he doesn’t want you to know is that he is great at all types of games because he’s been alive for so long. The only thing that gives him away is how overly confident he is, sometimes a bit cocky as well. This can also be his loss because he doesn’t replay games for long periods of time since he doesn’t have many people to play them with. When he loses, he feints being sad, but loves seeing the smile on your face when you win.

Today was an upsetting day, you just want to be alone for a few hours. You loved the brothers, the angels, and Solomon, but it was one of those days where they needed you for something or other. With everyone texting you, it was a bit overwhelming to say the least. So this prompted you to go to a place where you didn’t feel like you were needed constantly, even if it was just for a bit of time. The Demon Lords castle. It was a grand place, those empty and spacious halls were weirdly comforting. The quietness was alluring, but you were more interested in seeing Barbatos more than anything.

Before going in, you had to make sure that nothing important was happening, you didn’t want to be a burden.

MC “Barbatos, I was wondering if I could visit you for a little while.”

Barbatos “Of course, a visit from you would be greatly appreciated.”

Barbatos “I will be there to greet your presence.”

Seeing him accept your visit with open arms made you feel warm inside, you hope that he didn’t mind that the visit was for selfish reasons. Approaching the Demon Lords castle, you see Barbatos at a distance, waiting to walk you inside.

“Thank you for letting me visit on such short notice”

“Certainly, it’s no trouble.”

He escorts you inside and sits you down on a couch that sinks in as soon as you sit on it.

“Would you like some tea? I also have small cakes if they fit what you are looking for.”

You quietly tell him what you want, and as he’s preparing to sit down, you hear your D.D.D. buzz. When you glance at it, you see one of the brothers calling, most likely asking where you are. All you do is sigh, and choose to not answer it. You understand that they need you, but seeing that it’s not an emergency, you take advantage of it.

“My, MC, is there something that’s troubling you?”

You’re a bit caught off guard at this comment, you didn’t realize that you were showing your emotions on your sleeve.

“Oh.. it’s nothing much I promise, I just wanted to be alone today. It’s been a tough day, so I thought I would come here for some time away because it’s just a bit too much to handle at the moment.”

You fiddle around and look down, as long as you didn’t look at him. When you came here, you weren’t looking to tell him why you came. Even if it wasn’t specific details, talking about how you feel was not a specialty, you didn’t want him to drop everything just to comfort you.

“I see, if you are planning to hide from everyone, I advise that you let them know you are here. You understand how they act, they will end up tearing up the entirety of the Devildom if they suspected there was foul play.”

Hearing his soft voice gave you some peace. After pondering for a moment, you decided to shoot a text in the group chat reading “Hey I’m sorry for not answering, I’m at the Demon Lords castle visiting Barbatos. I’ll be back in a couple hours”

Sending that text made you feel a little less guilty about leaving them for a bit. After seeing everyone express that they’re glad you’re safe, you turn your D.D.D. on silence mode.

“Thank you for that, I probably would have ignored them until I got back.”

You probably sent it for Barbatos’ appeasement, yes, you didn’t want to worry the brothers but it would cause more trouble for Barbatos if they came storming in the castle to look for you.

“You mentioned having a rough day, is it something you’d like to talk about?”

“Not really, I appreciate the concern, but I’d rather have a normal conversation.”

“I understand, if you feel the need, please enlighten me. Seeing you upset brings me discontent, but your comfort is the top priority.”

You flashed him a smile to show how grateful you were. He didn’t feel the need to put pressure on you, and it made you feel at ease. Both of you move on to different topics, what he was doing lately, if Diavolo was on top of his work, sharing stories, it was nice sitting there without worrying about people needing you. You never realized how much you were talking, you could have been talking with each-other for an hour, two hours, or more.

“Say, MC, you said that you wanted to visit me at the Demon Lords castle despite wanting peace. Why is that?”

You suspected he knew why, and just wanted to hear you say it, it was still embarrassing to say out loud.

“You’re a quiet person, I guess just being around you gives me some solace. It’s nice sitting here with you, it feels like we never get to hang out since we’re both so busy. If I want to be alone, I want to be alone with you if that makes sense..”

As soon as you said it, you could feel your face heat up. You did not mean to reveal that last part, it was in the heat of the moment. To your surprise, you hear Barbatos chuckle a bit.

“Well then, feel free to come around the Demon Lords castle if you feel like this again. I would be glad to sit and chat with you, as long as it brings you happiness.”
