I have a big theory with the hawk person and the last books of shadowhunters.
š Nadinās Hope: A Mother, A Memory, A Future
Hello, my name is Nadin. Iām from Gaza. Iām a graphic design graduate, a wifeāand now, a mother.
I finished my design studies just before the war began. I had dreams of starting a small studio, of creating art that told stories. I used to think about colors and fonts and the future.
Then, the war came. And the future became something we tried to hold onto, moment by moment.
On October 22, 2023, I learned I was pregnant when a missile destroyed my husbandās family home, killing 25 membersāhis mother, siblings, nieces and nephewsāentire branches of our family in seconds.
We were displaced twice. Everything was goneāhome, safety, routine, rest.
A few weeks later, I gave birth to our daughter. There was no crib, no celebrationānot even stillness. But she arrived, quietly and beautifully. In her eyes I saw something I hadnāt felt in weeks: life that still wanted to grow.
Now, our days are shaped by decisions that could dismantle the future we are trying to build together.
Today, Israelās government is discussing plans for a full military occupation of the Gaza Strip, including Gaza City and southern regions. The stated aim: to eliminate Hamas and later hand governing control to allied Arab forcesānot Israelābut with no clear path to peace or normalcy.
The humanitarian fallout is devastating. More than 61,000 Palestinians have died in this war; hunger and malnutrition are rising sharply. Hospitals in north Gaza have shut down, and 193 people have now died of starvation, nearly half of them children.
Aid remains blocked, water is scarce, and many risk dying of hunger or disease long before future promises arrive.
We Donāt Know What Comes Next Thereās no clear path forwardāonly uncertainty for our daughterās life and our ability to survive another day.
My name is Nadin, and Iām a mother from Gaza.
How You Can Help Iām asking for supportānot for comfort, but for survival:
Help us meet basic needs so we can breathe, heal, and preserve a world for our daughter.
Support us as I try to stand again on my own feetāeven a glimmer of stability matters.
If youāve read this far, thank you. If you can giveāthank you. If you canātājust sharing this post is a lifeline I will never forget.
I swear we will never forget how the slow death of these babies was literally being televised.
The whole world knows now that these babies have had their oxygen cut off from them by israel and the whole world knows that the hospital they are in is being bombarded by israel and the whole world knows that the families of these babies were being held hostages at gunpoint by israel inside the Al Shifa hospital.
The whole world also knows three of these babies have died already as the NICU shuts down.
Those who are silent about Israel's atrocities have made a deliberate choice to go down in history as the most shameless cowards. This is a very avoidable tragedy that you have chosen to maintain with your silence.
You cant write your story
i know, youre stuck, you cant even think of sitting down infront of another bllanj page or a blank word document.
heres a tip, dont write your story.
everything you have in mind about your story, throw it away make it a part of the past and act like you finished it.
continue your story, its all in your head right, so write the story that comes next after this one, write the sequel before you even write th epilot.
it will help so much with foreshadowing, you will have new ideas for the story and more character depth and dynamics and no time waste don trying to find a way to make these characters feel connected and introduced, just write the story after every character has met, established a dynamics and the new story has begun but also keep in mind your original story, youre going to need it.
write the sequel before you write the pilot.
ever wonder why fanfics seem to always be better than books, more engaging, more alive. its because there is no time wasted on trying to find dynamics or introducing characters to the reader.
write them like they have been written before, this helps with the showing and not telling technique. write the characters as if the reader already knows them, and can tell from some certain behavioral language and dialogue what kind of character this is and helps them link to other characters.
and skip the awkward first encounter that the reader has with the characters.
i will repeat, write the sequel before you write the pilot
i know i needed this so you need this too, with love and respect, helia

š After the War⦠We Begin Again
The days have passed heavily ā filled with fear, destruction, and loss. We lost almost everything: our home, our memories, and even the simple feeling of safety we once had. But despite everything, hope still lives within us. We believe we can start over ā rebuild a life worthy of those who endured so much pain. š
The war is over, yet its echoes remain inside us. Today, we live among the ruins that were once our home, trying to rebuild not only the walls but the spirit that held us together. We need your support to bring back a sense of normal life, to rebuild our home, and to return the smiles to our childrenās faces.
We want to turn this rubble into a new beginning. To tell the world that we are still here ā still dreaming, still working, still hoping. Help us build a better future. Help us restore what the war has taken away. Help us start again with dignity and hope.
š Donate now and help us rebuild our life:
My name is Abedmajed Elderawi, and I live in Gaza with what remains of my once large and loving family.
š From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to everyone who stands with us. Every bit of support, no matter how small, means a new start for us. You are bringing light into the darkest moments of our lives. We will never forget your kindness and solidarity. ā¤ļø
Writing Notes: Cosmic Horror
Cosmic horror - also known as Lovecraftian horror, is aĀ literary horrorĀ sub-genre created by H.P. Lovecraft, who himself described it as weird fiction.
It generally explores the insignificance of human existence compared to the vast universe.
Lovecraftian horror stories generally explore these themes through familiar characters or entities like the Great Old Ones, a set of destructive god-like figures outside the realm of full human comprehension, and the Elder Gods, divine entities representative of natural elements.
The discovery of these figures thrusts the characters in a Lovecraftian horror story into a place where they must confront their lives' futility and utter insignificance.
How to Write a Cosmic Horror Story
If you find the common themes and motifs of cosmic horror engaging, nothing can stop you from trying your hand at a story. Below are some tips on how to approach your first cosmic horror short story or novella:
Aim for cosmic truth and revelation. Cosmic horror is first and foremost a genre about change and discovery. A protagonist discovers profound, often unsettling, existential truths throughout the story. The discovery process is part of what makes the genre so active and engaging.
Read other cosmic horrors. Itās essential to have a deep knowledge of the genre to write cosmic horror. Cosmic horror writers often employ themes and characters from Lovecraftās Necronomicon or other stories. Whether or not you are planning on referencing the same characters and operating within the larger Lovecraft mythos, you should still read as much cosmic horror as you can get your hands on. Itās also helpful to expose yourself to traditional horror writers and suspense storytellers like John Carpenter and Stephen King.
Remember that not everything is as it seems. Cosmic horror often explores the unknowable existence of nebulous entities from beyond. As you start working on your novella or short story, think about the sense of instability and disorder inherent in the human condition; how can you play up a fear of the unknown in the characters and motifs you explore?
Tap into the futility of human existence. An oft-explored theme in cosmic horror is the futility of human existence. Cosmic horror writers use supernatural characters to highlight these themes, but ultimately, they comment on the existential emptiness and futility that underscores human experience in the real world.

The Nazi Israeli army began sweeping, destroying and bombing buildings on a very large scale, using weapons that we have never heard of before and that are very strange, as shown in the picture.
The Israeli incursion into the heart of Gaza City has forced countless families to flee south, leaving behind their homes, memories, and everything they hold dear. Imagine over 2 million people crammed into an area smaller than 40 kilometers, struggling to survive under constant bombardment. Streets that were once filled with life are now ruins; hospitals are overwhelmed, and basic necessities are scarce. Children are terrified, families are torn apart, and nowhere feels safe. This is not a battle it is collective punishment, a humanitarian nightmare unfolding in real time, and the world cannot turn away.
Map of Gaza City:
š» Blue: Fully controlled by Israeli forces
š» Red: Almost fully controlled by Israeli forces
š» Green: Currently under heavy fire, with many displaced people and civilians inside
š» Remaining areas: Where most of the remaining civilians are located

Hello, my name is Anas, and I am from Gaza. Some of you may already know me from my previous fundraiser on GoFundMe. I want to explain honest
Two years ago, this war began. I was barely fourteen then.
Today I am almost sixteen, after living through two years that felt like a hundred filled with pain, displacement, and loss.
Two years of war that devoured our dreams and childhood, stealing our sense of safety, our education, our very lives.
I used to be a top student, full of big hopes for my future.
But Iāve lost two whole years of learning, two years of my life, my future, my self.
This cursed war destroyed everything around us.
It changed our faces and left our bodies frail from hunger and deprivation.
It denied us food and water, medicine and rest, everything that makes life bearable.
It erased all our beautiful memories, stole our laughter and peace, and left us wearing the faces of survivors.
My family and I have lived between bombings and ruins, hunger and fear.
We moved from place to place searching for shelter, sometimes sleeping under the open sky,
sometimes in places unfit for life, between the freezing cold and the burning sun.
Iāve seen the fear in my sisterās and brotherās eyes, and in the faces of the few friends who remain.
Iāve seen my father, sick and jobless, helpless to provide us with food.
And Iāve seen my mother try to stay strong while everything around us collapses.
Two years of impossible survival. Two years of waiting for a ceasefire that never came.
And today, after the announcement of a new ceasefire agreement, we feel both hope and fear.
We pray that this time it will hold, that this time it will be real.
Hope that this nightmare will finally end, and fear that we will be let down once again,
as we have every time peace seemed near and this cursed war continued.
Please, donāt leave us alone.
Help us. Share our voices. Support us in any way you can.
Gaza today is not a place for the living. Itās a witness to the worldās silence.
My name is Ahmad, from Gaza.
I once dreamed of becoming something great.
But now I only dream of a day without bombing, and a morning that feels like the ones we used to know before the war.

I want to believe that Daniel and Armand had many blissful and happy moments in their relationship that time with Louis couldnāt even compare, but Armandās unwillingness to make a fledgling and him fearing Daniel as much as he loved him ultimately ruined the relationship.
I think Armand knows that Daniel is the one and heās known for a long time. But historically speaking, every time he thought he knew, he was abandoned. Therefore, he had to be the one to abandon Daniel.
But hell if he would let human mortality take him away from him. Parkinsonās could suck it.

āsome people would say those toys were well loved.ā
This is about ageism in fandom.
At the Talamasca panel on Friday, the interviewer asked Eric Bogosian (and I may be slightly paraphrasing here because I can't look it up at the moment), "Did you ever expect to be a sex symbol at this stage of your career?" to which Eric replied cheerfully and unequivocally, "Yes."
Considering that he has also said "Daniel Molloy and I are literally the same person, I'm not acting, I am just being Me," I would therefore gently invite the fanfic writers to reflect on something: When y'all are about to write a variation on "Daniel Molloy is insecure about his yucky old body and doesn't think anyone could ever find it attractive," perhaps you could pause for a moment and ask yourselves: 1) where you might have got that idea from as a Default Concept, 2) whether local 70-something sex symbol Eric Bogosian would agree that Daniel thinks that about himself, and 3) what social propaganda might be pressuring you towards subconsciously choosing to change that part of Daniel's character.
I think most fic writers are trying to do a sweet and progressive thing with the "Daniel is gross and old, but Armand thinks he's sexy anyway <3" trope, but... that's still ageism. Framing Armand as the exception to the social propaganda covertly reinforces the propaganda that exists as the norm. Armand's attraction to him is not rare or transgressive. Nearly everyone in this fandom looks at Eric "Daniel Molloy" Bogosian and goes "hmm, would." So, again, what social propaganda is pressuring us to erase his very real and widespread appeal?
Basically, if you're going to do this, that's fine and you can do what you want, but I hope that you do it on purpose with your eyes open and the intention to Make A Point as deliberate social commentary (and that you therefore tweak the trope to align properly with those intentions). And if even one person reads this post and goes, "Hmm, y'know what, you're right, we SHOULD allow Daniel to be confident in his hotness, he has given every indication that he does know he's hot. After all, people who are insecure about their bodies do not wear sleek leather jackets and fuckass sunnies," then I will be content.
Mark Johnson I SAW you grinning ear to ear when the people were screaming for Assad and for the TVA mention. I KNOW you can see those dollar signs and hear those cha-chings. Give the people what we want. The re-vamped Night Island spinoff we deserve starring Assad Zaman and Luke Brandon Field.

This injustice that you witnessed, Greta, is only a small part of what we suffer under the occupation every day.
