Mr Neil, I am autistic, sometimes when you answer a question I don't know if you are joking, being serious or being ironic. Is there any way I can identify this in your texts?
Not really. Context normally helps. What I'd suggest is, if you are unsure, just go into the notes and ask. People will reply. A consensus should soon appear about whether I meant what I said seriously humorously or ironically or any combination of the three.
Hey, undiagnosed Autistic probably. I take everything he says with kindness first, then assume humor. After putting Neil's answers into those two categories it has become easier to recognize some more of the nuances that occur (boundary drawing, admonishing, irony, seriousness, etc). But always assume kindness first.
