mac's birth parents were part of the cult of byntyragor, a creature from another dimension believed to liberate man from pain, sickness, and death. they were normal, if not low ranking, within the community, at least until they offered their firstborn son as a vessel for their god.
mac was born prematurely, coming out after 7 months in his mother's womb on a sacrificial altar. in a dream she had the night before, mac's mother was told her son was destined to father byntyragor's angels. she'd begged her boyfriend to beat her to get the labour to happen sooner.
mac's birth father and mother, aged 16 and 15 respectively, chose to name him "sex machine", an irritatingly on-the-nose name to represent his place in byntyragor's plans.
mac was taken from his parents when he was four years old due to severe neglect, leading to a colourful life as a foster son to various couples in the state of minnesota. four of the five families he lived with were abnormal. the pairs of foster parents he was assigned to were, in order: cannibals, human traffickers, child serial killers, and unethical mad scientists.
the only normal family he spent time with-- and the last family that had him in their custody until he turned eighteen-- is likely the reason he has a sense of empathy at all today. they were kind to him, and despite his bewilderment at the whole thing, it was a big deal he got his high school diploma with them.
mac could communicate with byntyragor for as long as he can remember, dubbing him "bingo" at the age of 3 because he couldn't pronounce anything. the language bingo speaks doesn't make sounds so much as it rattles mac's skull with vibrations; similarly, when speaking in bingo's tongue, it sounds like mac is growling without any real words in-between.
the barriers between bingo's dimension and the human dimension depend solely on human willpower. when humans lose hope and see themselves as weak, bingo has a better shot to claw at the surface of their world and influence the physical texture of it. bingo finds it relatively easy to overlay the world with the stuff of his dimension, but directly changing something is much more difficult.
mac is capable of tapping into bingo's powers at will. he is also capable of cleansing areas of his influence, should bingo ever bleed into the real world. engaging in acts of aggression and violence towards others increases the strength of those powers due to the fear aspect it inspires (and, unfortunately, makes mac annoyingly horny, because bingo won't let him rest for a second).
haunted by prophetic dreams of world domination, visions of the easiest way to torture or kill anyone he comes across, and other harmful imagery, mac doesn't rest much. even if he runs his body ragged, however, bingo won't let him die.
bingo eggs mac on constantly to "spread his seed" and "create his army". he's even made sure mac stops ageing when he hits his most virile age. knowing that any children he spawns will only make the barrier between this world and bingo's weaker, however, mac would really rather not. the guy's annoying enough in his head as is.
ultimately mac isn't too concerned about what's good and what's evil. all he knows is that if he dominates the world and allows bingo's dimensional energy to swallow it, he'll lose all the modern comforts that make life worth living. there's no way he can survive without doritos, pepsi, and boneless chicken wings, and like hell is he giving up xnxx.com's selection of amateur creampies, even if it means he stays a virgin for the rest of his (nonconsensually immortal) life.
