Using some leftovers to make an objective marker for orruks. The original concept was "What's left of Nazgob", like a smoking boot from being zapped, but now with the green smoke I wonder if it's more like "Nazgob's stinky boot."Â

Two lots of Orruk Brutes, mixing up boxes of Brutes with kitbashed folks from Morgok’s Krushas so they’re not all just standing there looking menacing while the other orcs do the work.

And just like that, I'm done! I'm not the biggest fan of painting space marines of any sort, I feel like I want a level of precision that I can't quite get to with them, but I'm happy enough with what I've done. The psykers are great fun to paint, though I may revisit the head details sometime.
The biggest job in the box is the traitor guard, all 14 of them! It helps that they're my favourite models in the set of course.

Here are some beastly men.
And now to begin into the other side! Coming off the explorers, these have been incredibly quick to paint. The spindle drones especially might have taken me 30 minutes. Praise be for drybrush-heavy models!

Rogue Trader and Vape Lord Janus Draik complete!
Halfway through the explorers! Rather a tricky one this.
The Navigator's first test is navigating through doors.
I'm not quite brave enough to try the writing on the blade... Yet.
It's Blackstone Fortress time!

Rubric Marines
During a trip to Warhammer World with some lovely people from the Crate & Crowbar Discord, I decided to pick up a box of Rubric Marines and put together a kill team. I followed GW’s official video on painting Rubric Marines, and it’s going ok so far. I’m still quite early on, having just finished the blue basecoat, but I’m expecting to get them done in time for the Kill Team campaign starting in a couple of weeks. My only issue so far is all the little bits of blue I’ve gotten on the gold bits that I’ll need to fix up.
I have to say, that this is also the most modern kit of theirs that I’ve put together, and it was an absolute joy to do so. The sprues were very nicely laid out, easy to find every piece, and all fit together so well, including the options for magnetising them. I’ve still got 5 marines left to do, and I'm planning on magnetising those ones for practice, and to make it easier to paint the chest plates.
