This piece is a rework of one of my closed species adopts that has been passed on to a new owner. I first designed her a year ago and I'm shocked at how far I've come in a year!

Key to the Shadows

This carved chunk of crystal is actually Ombrite. A crystal found in abundance in Tenebris, the home world to Ombra. Ombrite is filled with powerful, dark shadow energy and is usually found in glowing shades of blues, pinks, and purples. Ombra use Ombrite in many forms, even slowly turning into the glowing crystals as they age. But, in this case, this chunk of Ombrite is used as a teleportation device. Carved with the symbol for "Iyali", a large tribal village home to thousands of Ombra, they can use this to teleport home easily if out on long journeys or in emergencies.

Crystal Ombrite Amalgamations

Ombrite Amalgamations - Living Liquid Ombrite! These obviously take on the form of cats, but Ombrite Amalgamations can take the forms of any creature and vary in how solid/liquid they are. Depending on size. The bigger they are, the more solid crystal they are, usually fractured and held together but shadow energy so as not to lose the ability to move under the weight of the crystals.

Ombrite is a crystal native to the world of Tenebris. It holds vast amounts of dark shadow energy and provides life and sustenance for countless fauna and flora.

Welcome all, to our little corner of darkness. This blog will showcase anything and everything related to Ombra, a closed species of shapeshifting shadow demons created by Alexia Rosenne. 

What are Ombra?

As I said above, Ombra are humanoid demons created purely of darkness. They have the ability to shift into a creature that helps boost their combat abilities and come in all shapes and sizes. Many have vibrant skin colours and dark patches of scales, but all Ombra are identified by their vibrant teal and blue eyes.  This blog will be where I showcase new members of the tribe as they’re adopted and any and all art relating to them! Warning, a lot of this content will be NSFW, but will keep things tasteful for Tumblr. I will also share lore and concept art of their world, Tenebris.
