@ofdebrisâ !
If she were emotionally present, she couldâve sworn the woman wouldâve given her chills. Her metaphorical hackles wouldâve been raised. But perhaps that was just the setting she was in. Who wouldnât have been disorientated after getting swallowed by darkness and then waking up to a woman asking if you still had a heart?Â
And then she refused to Z her name. WhichâŚwasnât that uncommon really, but it wouldâve made Z even more unnerved about the blonde in the black coat. Who wears a black coat anyway? She was one to talk, who wears a full kimono anymore? âNot anymoreâŚ?â It wasnât a question directed towards the woman, more of a way to try and make sense of what the woman was trying to say. Except, Z couldnât find a reason for it. Even if she wanted to ask, her thoughts were cut off as the woman continued to speak.
What to do with her? What did that mean? Z was able to question that but in a split second, she felt her hair jostle as something whizzed passed it. Whoever this woman was, she had some stunning accuracy on her. She wouldâve reacted more than a brief movement to her left so she could look after her shoulder. Whatever the dark shape was was disappearing. It looked oddly familiar as well. She didnât have time to pay attention to it because it had disappeared by the time sheâd turned around to try and get a better look of it.Â
âWhy wouldnât I still have my heart?â She was still unsure personifications had hearts, but that wasnât important right now. âDidnât I just tell you I did?â Z turned her head back to the blonde. âWhat are those things?â She figured she asked. Even though she had a feeling the woman wouldnât answer her question, Z asked anyway. âThey were there when I blacked out.â She had a feeling it was dangerous at least.
âAre they after my heart?â She asked again, almost as if she were mocking the whole âheartâ conversation they were having.
âYes, thatâs what I said.â Do people just not listen anymore? Having to repeat herself so often was getting quite dull. If somebody would just shut up and listen for a change, think of how much time could be saved! Alas, the self-important will continue to blow their own horn over the cacophony of others doing the same. This is also why she shouldnât be sent out to scout or negotiate, but when do your âsuperiorsâ ever listen? Just give her something to tear into- Something sheâs more than happy to undertake and send someone else. Not like they were short handed after all and surely any of those useless idiots would be fine with talking. Some of them also do not know how to shut up, but she digressed.
Seems the woman was slowly getting out of her daze and so her focus returned to her. For how long that would last, who could say?
âMust I explain everything? Iâm sure if you took a second to actually think about it you could come up with some sort of answer. Unless your brainpower was sacrificed for curves.â Maybe she can see if they can make little pamphlets to give out instead. âSo your world was swallowed by darkness.â. Questions to be directed to someone who cares. Frowning, she crossed her arms and waited for the other to stop babbling only to give a slow clap when all was said.
âCongratulations, you managed to figure something out for yourself! Iâm so proud.â Proud is far from what her tone suggests of course, but she never much cared for making good first impressions. Or good impressions in general for that matter. Conceding defeat, she gave a heavy sigh and decided it best to get everything over with now, just this once. âThose things are called Heartless. Creative, I know, but it fits considering how literal it is. They seek the hearts of those that still have them, like little parasites. They are also what took over your home. Manifestations of darkness. Youâre lucky you survived as most fall rather easily. But, since you still have your heart, your survival implies it is strong which, Iâm sure you can guess, will attract bigger and bigger Heartless until itâs theirs.â
That should cover that topic at least. âIt all sounds very fanciful, I know. If you have further incessant questions, ask now before I really lose my already waning patience.â
It seems her cluelessness wasnât winning her any favours with her blonde companion. But how was she supposed to find anything out if she didnât question it? Her home had apparently been swallowed by darkness, whatever that meant, and yet here she stood. How was she supposed to be here? How was she even meant to exist outside of the ruins?Â
Was that a dig at her? If her emotions hadnât left her long ago, she mightâve chuckled. Maybe she couldâve come back with a clever quip, but right now she didnât much care. Whatever the Heartless were, they were dangerous and she needed to be careful. She wasnât going to have the blondeâs protection forever and judging from her attitude, Z was walking on thin ice as it was.Â
âYou should be proud. Not everyone is able to have curves and brainpower.â Much less in this situation. She didnât even care if the otherâs tone was sarcastic, her own tone could reflect on much if one wanted to believe that. She glanced at her surroundings as the other explained the creatures in more depth. A strong heart, huh? She sure as hell didnât demonstrate that most of the time. Especially not in the past hundred or so years at least. Did she still have a strong enough heart, even after all this time? Or was something else at play?Â
âThank you for explaining.â Even though it didnât sound like it. âIs there any way I can keep them at bay? I canât imagine it would be nice for oneâs heart to be taken away.â She wanted to try and defend herself at least. Whether or not her brand of magic would work here is yet to be seen. Not that it seemed like her heart was around anyway, but if this womanâs logic was right, then she still had one. It would still be lodged in her chest, underneath her ribs.Â
Focusing back on the young woman, Z couldnât help but cant her head. Her confusion was slowly draining away. The blonde had helped a little, but she still had questioned. If the womanâs patience was ebbing away, perhaps Z had better find someone more willing to help her. But that begged the question... âIf you donât mind me asking,â Which the woman surely would. âWhy are you here? I hope I havenât wandered into anywhere I shouldnât have.âÂ
@ofdebris / closed starter .Â
The words struck Yuna as poignant. Standing there, amidst the graves of those who had gone before: to death. She still remembers with chilling clarity and unshakable resolution the words of the Ronso Tribe, how they will raise her even if all of Spira rejects her actions.Â
âHereticâ, they will brand Braskaâs daughter and her guardians, or if the Calm is a success - they will perhaps, much like the corruption of Spira as a whole, overlook it.Â
The people cannot be blamed for the system that has been built, and she feels more pity and betrayal than she does the anger that quietly nestles in her stomach at Maester Mikaâs lies; for their desperation even in death and their fear of anything different.Â
Will she be buried at all, she wonders? Or will there be nothing left? Itâs a morbid thought as she moves silently and with privacy Sir Auron has barked for her to be given towards the solitary graves. The woman kneeling beside another with the dull carmine eyes; the, perhaps it must be how she feels in this moment butâŚthe lonely expression. She utters the same prayers, moves the same hands, even if her faith has ultimately betrayed her, and so thus the world.Â
It was indeed a different journey, a different end, then her Fatherâs pilgrimage after all. She..wonders if he ever found out the truth himself. If he had, no, her father had seen her resolve, for that reason he had pushed her to pursue her own life, not feel obligated - something she did not feel whatsoever, but something happier. More joyous. MoreâŚlong-lasting than the fleeting glow that was her life. Looking at those grave solidified those facts.
â Forgive me, butâŚmaybe I wasnât supposed to ah, hear that. And yetâŚI understand. I too, as can many, feel that way. MaybeâŚnot in the same scope, and it isnât my place to intrude on your feelingsâŚ.but Iâve been thinking.â She stops praying and glances up with resolute, but burdened eyes.
â Is there such a thing as fading away if you are remembered? In that there is no fading. Someone will keep you intact even if you go out of a city, or an island, a forestâŚa world. I like to think, when that time comes for me, that, no, the people who know me best wherever I should go, will keep me from fading as long as they live. â It isnât right to laugh at a grave of her predecessors; so the summoner instead quietly cants her head.Â
â ItâsâŚvery sad talk though, all the same. ButâŚto be honest? I too, feel that fear. I thinkâŚitâs what makes us people, donât you think? I like to think my predecessorsâŚfeel that way too.â
It wasnât often she came to pray by the graves on Mount Gagazet. Going too far outside the confines of the ruined city sparked a sense of anxiety in the pit of her stomach. What would happen to her if she wandered to far from the place itself? Would she disappear into a cloud of pyreflies? Would she just fade into nothing? Despite the emptiness that resided in her chest, that thought alone was enough to bring a feeling of unease. It was a feeling that had followed her since she had been brought into being.
But her reasoning for visiting the graves were simple. They were once summoners and the deserved to be remembered in some way. Even if Z didnât know them personally, they had tried to do what many could not. That alone deserved her respect. She couldnât do all of them, but she did the few that were close enough to the city. Her skirts were tucked under her knees to shield her from the cold, her back was bent and her hands were circled in prayer. The words âPraise be to Yevonâ felt hollow in her mouth, even as she muttered it.Â
Despite her mumbling it to the other that had knelt next to her, the words felt like a betrayal to what she knew was right. Her real prayer however, was to what Yevon might want to hear though. She prayed that they had found peace in the Farplane and that their souls had not lingered here. She prayed that they knew that someone still appreciated their journey and sacrifice, even if Yevon might forget them or disown them. She prayed that they knew that she, if anyone, knew the strength it took to become a summoner and their journey was not in vain.
When the other spoke, Z was jolted back to the present. She almost forgot that she was kneeling in snow in a place that wasnât her home. She righted herself, her hands uncurling in front of her and resting on her thighs and her shoulders straighten up. She turned herself slightly, as if to pay more attention to what the young woman was saying. Such a young woman. It almost tugged at her heartstrings.Â
Canting her head, she thinks before she speaks. âIt depends. Those who died on this mountain, their names have been lost but you and I can remember them. Their graves are here to remind others what the journey can be like. Not everyone makes it all of the way, but we can remember those who tried.â Some give up half way through, some perish on a mountain. Would those who died and did not get graves be remembered? No. The Summonerâs who died in Zanarkand wouldnât get remembered. Neither would the ones that gave up half way through. Perhaps it was a case of who could be made into a martyr.Â
âWhether or not you succeed, those who are with you will remember you. Those who have met you on your journey will remember you.â But those memories would vanish when those people died. The young woman would be a fleeting memory for most. Another Summoner who could or could not defeat Sin. If she succeeded, her statue would be put in all the temples and she would be remembered. If she didnât...well, lots of other people had failed before and who remembered them? She turned her head back to the gravestone in front of her.
âIt is natural to want to be remembered, but unfortunately not everyone will be.â It was the sad fact of life. Not every Summoner would be remembered, but less the Guardians that followed them. She could understand where the young woman was coming from though. They needed to remember their history, the names of those important, the pieces of history that helped shape the world. âWhether or not your predecessors felt that way, we cannot know. People take this journey for different reasons. All we can do is hope they are resting in the Farplane.â

ofdebrisâ:
Her head canted, almost curiously at the old man. Of course, she recognizes him. The one that got away. The one who died here. Her hand reaches out as he stumbles, ready to offer help if he continues to fall. He doesnât and her hand is quickly moved back and clasped with the other. âI donât believe weâve met.â Not officially at least. But she wasnât about to say that she watched him die here all those years ago. No, it would probably bring back memories heâd rather forget. Not after he seemed to have calmed down. âIâm Z. And you are?âÂ
â auron. .â  should he be more formal, it does feel as though he should. but he doesnât, his posture remains relaxed and slumped at the shoulders. single eye trained onto her form. Itâs like being to a place heâs been before, but somewhere more dreamlike, and it makes him hesitant, but softer in a way. voice dips, gaze narrowed. he doesnât know her, and itâs rude to assume things, perhaps this was just her natural aura, braska had one similar.  â regardless, thank you for your help. â
Her hand retracts and goes back to her side. âA pleasure.â She didnât make it sound like it was though. The downsides of surviving for a thousands years, oneâs mental health took a toll after a while. His eye seemed to be trained on her. She had never really shown herself to him, but there was something in his eye that maybe told her otherwise. Not that it mattered at this point. Telling him that she knew what had happened all those years ago wouldnât change anything now. Would he even believe her? âI did nothing.â He merely stumbled, it was a good thing he didnât fall. He couldâve injured the other eye.Â
âMaybe I have one of those faces that look similar to others. Iâve been told that before.â
@ofdebrisâ gets Amalthea!
As Amalthea wandered into this new and foreign land, she could feel and sense that the city she cautiously walked into was ancient. As a creature who was as old as the sky and stars she knew right away that this place was not recent or inhabited. It was beautiful, silent and yet lights floated around these ruins. The unicorn was unsure of what they were but she found them intriguing.Â
But she also felt like she was not alone, when she walked far enough into the ruins the unicorn stopped and glanced around. âIf someone is there, please do show yourself.â
Now this was unusual. Colour her intrigued. It looked like Ixionâs cousin, if she was being honest. Z was sure it wasnât a fiend. No fiend acted like this, let alone looked like it and that was coming from someone who had seen a lot of fiends over their life. She wondered what it was. Something about it seemed ethereal, otherworldly.
She followed the unusual creature, wondering if it had come here for a purpose. Her footsteps were quiet, the only sound she made was the movement of her robes. When it spoke however, Z stopped in her tracks. Taking a step from behind the building sheâd found herself behind, she tilted her head at the being. âYou can talk?â She called out, not thinking about it until after the words had left her lips.Â
âWhat are you?â

Maybe her last comment hadnât been mean to illicit a response from the swordswoman. Now she was stuck with the fact that she had apparently intrigued Paine instead and had to explain what she meant. âI only meant...â That was a start. Despite the lack of emotions, she could felt a small rise of panic come up in her chest. Thankfully, she was very good at guarding what little emotions were able to creep through. A hand went up to push a tendril of hair out the way of her face. A diversion to create more time for her to think of a suitable excuse.
âThat maybe you ought to keep a better eye on your things.â That was the better way to put it. The monkeyâs alone had sticky fingers, let alone some of the fiends that wandered the ruins. One couldnât be dropping their own possessions in the ruins, youâd never find it again.
âBut I know where the monkeyâs like to keep their stashes. I can take you there.â A compromise, hopefully. Sheâd spent enough time with them to know where they tended to hide their stuff after taking it. All it took was a little time and patience.
ofdebrisâ / ????
A familiar face had entered the ruins. One that, while a very nice surprise, Z hadnât expected to see again. At least, not for a while. She had figured that once the young woman had found her peace, she wouldâve stayed away from the ruins for a little while. But, she wasnât going to the force the woman out. Not if she wanted to be here. It seemed Yuna was here to reminisce. But part of her was still curious.
So, Z followed, albeit quietly. She heard the thoughts that Yuna chose to air to nobody in particular. When she said those words, the pyreflies seemed to chose that moment to react to Zâs memories. The dome that they both stood in changed from that of ruins to that of the dome it once used to be. Even if it was sparsely decorated, one could still tell that it was a regal place. Tapestries lined some walls, intricate designs lined others depending on where you were. Yunalescaâs domain was almost a perfect copy of what it used to be, but brighter, almost as if it were brand new. There was a balcony area that overlooked the space, which was predominantly used by the High Priest himself. The Dome had once been the most prominent temple in Zanarkand and the seat of the government, so it was only right that it was it used to look as spectacular as it did.Â
The outside portion of Yunalescaâs domain wouldâve had a glass dome to cover it, much like the rest of the dome would have. The stairs wouldâve lead to a lower and higher level, depending on where one needed to go.Â
But just as quickly as the image came, it went not long after. She hadnât realised sheâd followed Yuna this far until she saw the young woman crouching by the edge of the platform. Maybe she was being a little bit too intrusive. âForgive my intrusion. I hadnât realised anyone else was here.â âLiarâ, she thought. She was only trying to save face.,
Yuna let herself bask in her sadness, eyes still closed as she thought back to moments long gone. In her heart is where she kept these memories safe - his voice, his laugh, his eyes, his love. For a brief moment, she can hear an echo of his voice telling her about his ZanarkandâŚ
It gets brighter and brighter till everythingâŚglows. Itâs really pretty. I know youâd like it
She begins imagining it in her own mind: the ruins of Zanarkand melting back into its former glory, broken buildings rising high into the sky, bridges and roads coming together to form crossroads here and there. Thereâs even a second where Yuna believes she hears the roaring crowds of the Zanarkand Dome, with indistinct voices yelling of blitzball and tournaments and champions. The corners of her lips pull into a smile as she opens her eyes, expecting nothing but the reality of its ruins. Itâs a surprise when she captures a glimpse of Yunalescaâs chamber in its former glory. Though it is fleeting, Yuna understands that the pyreflies did this as a reaction to a memory - one that was not herâs as she had never seen this chamber other than in its broken state. She becomes aware now that she is not alone, slowly rising to her feet, before turning over her shoulder. She doesnât recognize the stranger, but her curiosity was piqued - who else would come to this once holy place?
âItâs alright. I actually didnât expect anyone else to be here, either.â  Her voice is kind, though sheâs hesitant. Not many people ventured this far out anymore, not since the debacle that was her Uncle Cid and Isaaruâs scheme. As the rest of Spira continued on and evolved, Zanarkand seemed stuck in time, only touched every so often and remembered for what it once was. A tentative touch to her necklace, she turned around completely to face the stranger. âWas that⌠your memory? That the pyreflies responded to?â
The woman had enough reasons to be hesitant of her. Z might know who she was, but she wouldnât have any idea who Z was. Still, part of her was appreciative of the fact that the womanâs voice was still kind. âNot many choose to wander this far in either.â Stating the obvious, really. âNot since the fiends got stronger.â That was one of the reasons at least. The average citizen of Spira didnât know how to fight, so why would they willingly put themselves in danger like this?
Now that she could get a good look at the womanâs face, Z could see time had aged her. Not in a bad way, but Yunaâs had clearly gotten older. In the space of 2 years alone, her face seemed to have filled out more and her hair had grown. Had she gotten taller or was that the boots she was wearing? Z couldnât tell. It wasnât a dramatic difference, but it was enough to let her know that the summoner had aged. Sometimes, that was all she could use as a way to know that time had passed. The ruins rarely changed, so how else would she know. Few people had defeated Sin, so she couldnât have used that.
âIt was.â She had a lot of memories that the pyreflies could react to, but rarely were the strong enough to cause them to recreate the city. If she wanted to do it consciously, she had to concentrate. The temple here was one of the memories that she had once held in awe. Back when the building was still standing, no matter how many times she entered it, she had always been taken aback by how beautiful it looked. Oneâs voice would echo in certain chambers, in others, the air was palpable with the weight of what went on in itâs walls. Sometimes, it amazed her that such a place had been built that could ever hold such a feeling.
âThis place...â She let her eyes trail the detailing on the walls, remembering what was once there. âI loved itâs beauty. I loved that everything echoed.â It was a simple beauty. Nothing fancy or cheap. It had grace. âI loved the heavy feeling that you knew history was made here. I loved the detailing on the tapestries. On the walls. Even on the floor, they made sure no detail was spared.â Theyâd imported the best materials to make them too, but over time things had needed to be replaced. Wear and tear happened. Accidents happened.Â
âI donât think Iâve ever seen anyone marvel at the details before.â Most came here for one reason and one reason only. They never seemed to take a look around. Not that they could see it in itâs former glory but there was enough left to have a good look.

Zâs new witch verse background. thisâll also cover a sub-verse where she gets reincarnated due to the Kamiâs wishes and ends up becoming a spirit witch because of it.
born in a small village in Japan a few hundred years ago, Z grew up wanting nothing. being one of the few people âblessedâ with magical abilities, Z is almost lavished upon. she has the ability to communicate with the Gods (and unbeknown to most, spirits too), which was one of the few powers rarely seen within people, and eventually becomes a priestess because of this. only those with magical abilities (no matter what they are, whether itâs water based, floral or homely) are allowed to become priests or priestesses if they want to.
this village, however, holds a dark secret. itâs village temple is dedicated to the Kami âIzanamiâ, the Kami of creation and death. the village believed that when they were created, Izanami gave them the gift of magic to be able to live comfortably in the area, but that magic came at a price. there had to be a give and take with it. those that had these powers also tended to have unnaturally short lifespans, for many didnât live past the age of 35. they had to make use of the powers they were given in the time they had on earth. the apparent reasoning (according to the head priests at least) was because that the powers of the deceased would go into the newborns and thus, the magical cycle would continue.Â
the magic that the villages were blessed with was something. apparently, they were able to use it differently. they seemed to be able to inject it into everything they did if they wished. crops not doing well? an earth witch can channel some of their magic into the earth and you wonât have to worry about them failing! the earth surrounding your crops seems to be soaking up too much water and not doing anything for your crops? a water witch does their thing and suddenly your crops donât need watering! your house canât get warm in the winter? a fire witch makes sure that you never complain about being cold during the winter again! rumours spread about the wonderful things the witches in this village could do. while there were some truth to these rumours, most of it had been blown out of proportion. their powers were something else, it was simply because the knowledge had been passed down for generations. after figuring out that those born as witches were going to die young, people started recording what they knew and how to do things. this resulted in a pretty impressive library in the village, which anyone (with or without magic) could visit. it wasnât restricted by if you had certain types of powers. this knowledge was passed through the ages and of course, people always experimented with what they could do, hence the rumours.
one year, when Z was in her late 20â˛s, their land started failing and thus, their crops did too. many people grew sick and started dying. the villages immediate thought was that they had angered Izanami because prior to this, they had grown rather cocky with their gifts and their knowledge of how to work them and needed to make it up to her. their village had grown and it had garnered a reputation for being allowing witches from all over to settle in, advance their knowledge, share their own with others and then leave. this had unintentionally angered Izanami because the witches that came in and out had not been âblessedâ in the same way those native to the village had. their lifespans were not shorter and they were able to garner knowledge sheâd given to the village for nothing. not knowing what to do, but not wanting to give up so easily, the priests came up with a plan. thinking that if they would sacrifice one of their own high priests, Izanami would be pleased.
after much deliberation, Z offered herself up as a sacrifice. maybe if she died, because of her rare powers, Izanami would replenish what they had lost. one other priest, an earth witch, also offered himself. their combined powers should appease Izanami and hopefully atone for their misdeeds. so, Z died a couple of days later. Izanami took pity of the young woman. she saw potential in Z and so, was brought back as a Yokai. because of Izanamiâs appearance (think a decomposing corpse basically), Zâs entire left side is skeletal. she canât change that when sheâs in her human form, but Izanami did grant her the ability to shapeshift. namely, into a fox.
when she started approaching the village, not realising her new appearance, she was approached by a child before entering the village. the child, seeing her half skeletal face, runs off screaming. Zâs obviously very taken aback by this and finds a puddle of water nearby. looking into it, she finds out why. itâs then that Izanami comes to her and tells her whatâs going on, the fact that she can shape shift but she is bound to the land the village is on until Izanami decides otherwise. the Kami tells the young woman that she will watch over the village and help the Kami with deciding life and death. thereâs not much else that Z can do but to agree to this.
a few days after the sacrifices, Izanami comes to the Head Priests and tells them that their land will be fine, but their attitude needs to change. she doesnât appreciate the fact that people can come in and out and not face the consequences. the Head Priests notes this and vows to change their ways.
Z watches. she brings medicine when needed (especially to children, she has a soft spot for them), she provides help with crops, with good births and with funerals. the villages suspect that their Kamiâs words were right. they are being watched over. that was hard for them to take as well, especially since Z could shapeshift into a fox. if she was ever mistreated, a family member of the individual who wronged Z would die. the villages learned soon enough not to mess with the fox that seemed to wander the village. those that did would be in trouble.Â
she was left offerings, alongside Izanami. witches & wizards were still born into the village and so that was why the temple remained. however, they started to noticed that instead of every baby having a change of being born with powers, it was certain families. in modern times, if one traced these back, you could see a generational thing start to happen.
the village prospered. it started out slow at first, the villagers barely noticed it. but after about 100 to 150 years, people noticed. their crops were always the best. their children rarely got sick and died and if they ever got badly sick, medicine would always arrive at their doorstep. mothers giving birth had little complications, though thatâs not to say that some didnât. their funerals always had sunny weather and went without a hitch. there would always be flowers around their graves. unbeknown to them, this was mainly because of Z, but nobody remembers her or would attribute their good fortune to the girl they sacrificed long ago. but, while the village itself noticed, so did a neighbouring one. and they grew jealous.
a couple of scouts were sent out and report back. what they saw made them attack. there was talk of a magical fox, sent from the Kami, to aid the village and the neighbouring village wanted that. Zâs village lost the fight and was subsequently wiped out, despite their witches best efforts. the weapons the other village had were superior.Â
however, Izanami never drew Z back to her and Z was left to wander the ruins of her village. sometimes, if a passerby comes past, they might see the shape of a fox or a woman wandering the ruins. most donât think too much of it. anyone that tries to remove the ruins of the village or build on it seemingly gets âcursedâ. they die, they get injured, their equipment keeps going missing or getting destroyed, that sort of thing. and so, the land gets left alone.Â
now, the sub-verse for this can come where Z is given a proper body by Izanami. she is given her spirit powers back and communication with the dead. however, doing it too much drains her and for a few seconds, one might be able to see the glimmer of a skeleton on her left side. so, when she does offer her services as someone who can communicate with spirits, she does it will a veil on. because if she does use too much energy, people wonât get freaked out. sheâs learned to create things to keep the spirits quelled (much like her ancestors did with her and Izanami), but more modern versions of it.Â
after getting her new found freedom, she wanders round Japan for a little bit before settling down at a temple. her spirit magic is quickly recognised and utilised and she even gets offered a unique job because of it. people are always requesting her to talk to their dead relative or friend or how to quell the Yokai that might be in their home.Â
âso you really donât know what any of it means? no clue at all?â
@nightscaped
âNo clue at all.â Arms crossed in front of her. It wasnât something she liked to admit, her pride sometimes got in the way, but her gut was telling that if she didnât admit it now, they were going to get into even more trouble. Sheâd rather have a little trouble now than a lot of trouble later.
âUnfortunately my linguistic skills arenât up to scratch.â Not that sheâd had much time to practice it anyway. An hour, maybe less, didnât seem that long to learn much of a language, let alone any of the basics. âIâm about as lost as you are.â She said with a shrug. Which was a shame because now it seemed like they were going to be lost in this cave for a while. Theyâd have to find another way out, which was easier said than done.Â
A sigh left her lips as she turned around to assess their surroundings a little more. Not that there was much too assess, they were in a long, grey tunnel. âWeâre going to have to go the long way around, arenât we?â She knew it was true before she even asked it. Even if it did make her sound younger than she actually was, it did dishearten her that she couldnât help get either of them out of this situation. She was just glad that neither of them were claustrophobic. Hopefully at least, cause there was no way out unless they scrambled out of here. Her arms unfolded and swung by her side.Â
She looked left and then right. âWe came from that direction, right?â She pointed to her right. She hoped that was the right way. What was worse then having to go the long way round? Going round in circles because they went the wrong way initially. âSo we should go that way.â Z pointed to her left.Â
