4th grade on Literacy, Writing and Social Studies.

You wrote an essay for every single one of these classes. You went home every night and were expected to read a book and write a report.

Our classroom had your reading level on the wall, your test scores were posted for people to see.

It is insane to me that ChatGPT is a fucking thing people are using for classes.

The amount of teaching that is not done anymore is insane to me. I have a younger sibling who is in school and by the time I was his age I could read chapter books I could write essays.

I do know it is not 100% the teacher’s fault but I’ve also seen that the way they’re doing things now is much fucking different than the way I was taught.
