sometimes it makes me depressed when i see male characters that struggle with masculinity (especially from trauma) and are instantly called trans mtf by the fandom said character is from :c i feel like thata controversial to say though... i don't think i would care if it didn't happen that much but it literally ALWAYS happens

i promise there's more if u look quite easily to find but.. idk why it makes me sad.. is it really so impossible to imagine a guy struggling with femininity and masculinity in a way that doesn't always mean they want to be a girl? maybe it's self harm or survival or forced by an external output like a line of work or abuse... (this is with certain characters in mind not necessarily the ones i listed, just listing well known examples) and they're still treated like they should just be ladies? why? i feel like this avoiding such a deeper topic of toxic feminity and force fem & abuse, sexual abuse even in men... 💔 cause these topics go hand in hand it's hard to ignore but people are erasing it for HCs when sometimes the trauma itself isn't even a hc it's canon but completely ignored ughh.. idk 😿

i understand there's a love and need and want for transfem/mtf characters and good rep and even convoluted or complex transfem/mtf reps but yk like that trauma does exist right? you're also erasing other representation by doing this.. maybe it's fine as a one off until u realize other ppl see it and could be going through a trauma similar to that character and suddenly the trauma is erased it really does send harmful messages just like if any other representation of things that are fewer and less accepted were suddenly erased and treated as canon it is a bit harmful! :C can we plz be allowed to have men with fractured feminity & trauma that are fem repulsed/fearing and/or fem presenting while still desiring to be male!!! it might be uncomfortable but i need it to exist freely plz ty 🐾
