Two things prevent us from happiness; living in the past and observing others.

–Perfect, remote, and unbroken.

Opinion is really the lowest form of human knowledge. It requires no accountability, no understanding. The highest form of knowledge is empathy, for it requires us to suspend our egos and live in another’s world. It requires profound purpose larger than the self kind of understanding.

…And now I am trying to master the Hell in my life, to bring all the darkness into the light. It is time, high time, that I grew up.

I had been washed by the sea, cleansed, baptized, purified, and dried clean and crisp by the sun.

In a field. With the moon. And the dark. And the dirt. With your mouth. And just one word: god god god.

Anger is an acid that can do more harm to the vessel in which it is stored than to anything on which it is poured.

For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.
