cub loves his caretaker
don’t u dare tell me love doesn’t exist
So I just need to get this off my chest:
For me David Kawena from Lilo and Stitch is the ultimate Disney prince because he is there for Nani AND Lilo and even Stitch despite everything that’s going on in their lives. They’re going through some tough stuff. Their parents die and all of the sudden Nani has to be a mom to her sister who is socially awkward and depressed and that’s hard enough as it is and then she gets her this ‘dog’ and everything gets harder and even though she can’t return David’s feelings he’s still there for them through everything. Even aliens. He’s amazing. I was watching Lilo and Stitch with my niece the other day and I cried watching David go through it all. He is the perfect guy. Like I just get emotional thinking about him.
Imagine if you had someone like David in your life - male or female. You would feel like a prince/princess even if you were living with next to nothing.
David is the ultimate Disney prince - even though he isn’t a Disney prince. He should be considered one.
Disney rant - over.
Reminder that David:
-has no curse to break -does not have a deadline/ultimatum to find a wife -has no financial/social gain from being with Nani -is told ¼ of the way into the movie that Nani is too busy to worry about dating him AND PROCEEDS TO BE HELPFUL AND SUPPORTIVE ANYWAY.
David’s not a Disney prince because he’s too fucking awesome for that title.
AN ACTUAL NON-IRONIC,NON-SELF DESCRIBING NICE GUY.
A PROPER HUMAN BEING.

What Disney Voices Would Look Like as Their Characters by Crystal Ro Related: If Disney Characters Were Real People

This woman sticking up for her fat-shamed boyfriend is the ultimate example of #relationshipgoals
With all the misogynistic body-shamers targeting women these days, it’s easy to forget men are victims too. Ashley Stevens and her boyfriend Christopher Glenn Reed were reminded of this fact when a picture of them ended up on Reddit. Response to the photo quickly turned ugly, with more than 2,600 commenters mocking Reed’s weight and appearance. But Stevens got the last laugh with an epic response for all the trolls.

Why my Disney College Program experience will be considered a negative one.
First off, let me say that I've had an absolute blast during my program. I've made some really cool friends and I've had some great experiences. I love my job, my managers are great and most of the people I work with are awesome. That being said, my program will forever be a negative one. The reason is simple: I have never experienced such a high level of being unwanted before this program. They say this program is a great way to get your foot in the door at Disney, but they don't tell you that door pretty much only leads to hourly roles with the company. To get anywhere higher, you have to do a Professional Internship. They tell you you're a valued member of the company, but that value comes from the fact that you're a non-union employee that they can pretty much use however they want, with almost no regard for your feelings or desires. They tell you that, yes, some Cast Members do not like CPs. What they don't tell you is to prepare for the open disdain and downright rudeness that most Cast Members will display toward you. I've had CMs from my location actually look the other way upon passing me in the Utilidor. Most won't speak to you unless you happen to be a part of a group conversation, and they'll never initiate the conversation. Most mind-boggling of all is that a good number of CMs I've received hate from were at one point in time CPs themselves. If something positive happens to you (pay raise, cross training, pretty much anything that's out of your control as a CP), rather than saying something to a person in a higher position, they will proceed to loathe you indefinitely. CPs have no seniority, they have no say in their schedule, and are pretty much hated by everyone they work with. I almost feel ashamed at times to tell a regular CM that I'm a CP, because you're never quite sure how they'll react to it. Bottom line, whatever doors may open up for me because of this program, I will never forget the general disdain directed at me and CPs in general.
