Corner of the Universe

I opened a book 

Gazed into the pages 

I realized  I wasn’t reading

Anything

But the pages felt familiar as a soft hand in yours 

An enticing moment 

Time Traveled through life and found myself stuck again 

Still not doing anything with the pages 

Everything stood still 

Amazing the world seemed just like this 

An open book 

But I will see it as it

Unraveling guilt of before

How do I cling to pain when I brought it ?

Do I want to inflict more and more until I hurt everyone ?

Do I give myself a chance to live and rely on making life work for and towards something?

I wanna put our love you say is everlasting to the test

I want to know this isn’t just a possibility but truth

How can I feel sanctified?

Where does god reside?

My mother named me the hollow and industrious

I work til my body cracks enough so there is no means I can’t reach.
