I’m not gonna lie I didnt even read the other books . I was only still reading cause of Grim .

I tried so hard to like it . Like you said the set up had so much potential but it was wasted . I hated that she didn’t have a curse and then she did but it was blocked by her nightshade gift . Then there was how her friend turned out to be her enemy , which I would’ve totally been fine with if it would of been because she didn’t want to die and willing to do anything to break her and her peoples curse . Anything other than her being someone else and the only reason for the curses was because her fiancé who she wasn’t marrying for love was in love with someone else and wanted to get married for love . Also I I feel like Grim deserved better . I like the idea of him taking away her memories for the games, but the reasoning behind it was so dumb . And don’t even get me started on the “games” .
