Not sorry, but if you're going onto ai art posts and saying shit like "AI SLOP AI SLOP" then that is absolutely harassment and YOU are the one in the wrong and they have every right to block you. Leave them the fuck alone.
You can think that something is soulless all you want, but at the end of the day, soullessness doesn't actually hurt anyone, unlike, say, a mass layoff. You can say that AI Ghibli images are soulless (and you could even be right), but it doesn't actually do any harm to you aside from giving you unpleasant feelings.
I'm a firm believer that humanity is a social construct and anti-ai motherfuckers (and most of society really) aren't ready to have that conversation.
"AI makes people stupid!" Do you wanna know what else makes people fucking stupid? Being reactionary. If you're trained to let your immediate feelings and gut reactions take over the way you respond to things instead of actually taking a step back and looking at all the facts and nuances of a situation, then maybe you should fix your stupid fucking brain first before you go talking about other people's.

If you continue to leave nonhumans out of the conversation on AI art while preaching about "humanity" and "human souls" don't be surprised when they're no longer on your side.
Species dysphoria is real. "Art is for humans." So are you saying art isn't for me because I'm nonhuman? Or that the inherent act of making art makes me human? Disgusting either way. Some people don't want to be called human period and yet they still make art. Art is not inherently human. Not all humans make art.
You shouldn't be surprised that I'm no longer on your side.
It's not your art. What do you have to complain about?
the way it is wildly inconvenient to find a new fandom to think about getting more active in when i know full well like 80% of the people in it would probably avoid me for thinking that AI isnt inherently evil and that a lot of the rhetoric against it here literally borders on proto-fascist without even realizing it
we got:
- enemy portrayed as both strong and weak
- the "either with us or against us" no-nuance mindset
- the use of shame and fear to play upon the insecurities of the vulnerable and turn them against others who are ultimately also vulnerable and yet treated as enemies
- glorification of "good old days" in an exaggerated, rose-tinted fashion
- portraying an exaggerated sense of decline, victimhood, and humiliation when the material reality of artist earnings and feedback before/after isn't even reflecting that as a whole
- the elitism and exclusion building in the pro-artist sentiment
- the lack of unbiased research and the general anti-intellectual, overly emotion-based and reactionary approach to all this
- the fearmongering towards something different and new
- the scapegoating
- the glorification of harsh action, shame, and mockery against not *just* AI, but any user and any sympathizer
- obsession with AI being Intrinsically Evil instead of the ways its used being what's flawed + general conspiratorial Downfall Of Civilization doomerist thinking
also the way i have yet to see anyone really productively do something or have a cohesive PLAN for how anyone actually intends to meaningfully resist beyond "just dont use it" (clearly not even working + business and schools can basically just foist it on you whenever the hell they want, which is something I *do* think is an *actual* valid complaint, but people noticeably post way less about that type of issue)
at this point, for all the tears about AI, the naysayers basically seem to serve no materially useful purpose beyond forming a virtue signalling in-group for making each other feel better and rooting out any degree of AI optimism or sympathy so that anyone who *does* admit to using it has to adopt the language of being some kind of pathetic drug addict and not like. a guy with a hobby.
(I promise you, the person using it to have that RP they're too ashamed and self-conscious to have with anyone else is nowhere even remotely on the same level as the bigwigs who are making bank largely off of stocks and venture capitalists and will therefore be pretty much unharmed even if this guy and a million other guys give up the hobby forever. hence another part of why your movement is pretty much materially flaccid and toothless.)
(I will also bet you a cool 50 bucks that there are people in your midst who still use it recreationally and just parrot all the hate and reblog the jokes against it to fit in)
Truth be told, I don't really think anti-AI people want AI generators to be better for the environment because that would remove an argument from their ideological toolbox (which doesn't have many tools to begin with, mind you) which is why they repeat it over and over ad nauseam despite being continuously corrected.
Just cause an artist paints with their asscrack doesn't mean everyone else has to

ive been consistent in my objection to basically all the Spurious critiques of generative AI (ie those that arent along the lines of labour concerns, misinformation, etc) for basically as long as the AI discourse has been happening, & something that has been really consistently observable over those years is that those spurious arguments are *constantly* predicated on regressive, reactionary, & incurious means of conceptualizing art. like right from the start there was "AI generators are Bad because they can never get the fingers or teeth right" as if the fidelity of literalist representation is a meaningful qualitative goalpost, "look how bad this is, it's uncanny & frightening" as if horror is just prima facie Inferior Art. people sneering that it's "basically a collage" like even setting aside the veracity of that comparison, what exactly is the problem with collage. "we should tighten copyright laws To Protect Artists" "AI art is degenerate Lazy because Real Art necessitates Effort" "there's no intentionality or creative input involved" "this technology is eroding your brain & morals & work ethic" "style theft" "stolen art" "piracy" "plagiarism" it's maddening, it's like everybody just transformed overnight into one of those conservative critics who rant about how violent movies Have No Artistic Value, these are self-evidently shallow & juvenile metrics for thinking about *any* kind of artwork
"a person in a red hoodie standing in front of an art piece" "a painting of a maze with a full moon in the background" "a large painting with frames on each side of it on the ground with a city in the background" "a hand holding a camera takes a reflection of a painting"
i eat human souls for breakfast
Sorry just had to post this meme
The anti-ai crowd were so busy accusing the pro-ai side of fascism that they failed to noticed the fascist bullshit they themselves were spewing until it was too late.

“How dare you use ai to make art for profit, it was trained of other people’s work, which is basically stealing!”
Okay, I’ll use it to make fanfic and other art that’s not for profit. And I’ll use models trained on public domain works-
“No! It’s not real art! You still can’t do it!”
Okay, I’ll just use it for non artistic purposes like writing corporate emails-
“No! That’s a waste of water and electricity!”
Okay, we’ll put our efforts into more sustainable models-
“No! It’s stealing!”
Endless cycle
"I'm an artist!" Aww, but I thought all humans were artists. Quit calling yourself that, bitch. You're not special.
